Kill Bill Volum 1 has some of the finest knife, samurai sword, and morning-star battle scenes.

The movie is excessively violent and bloody and sick with people routinely getting lacerated and have body parts severed from their bodies.

It has a 60-70s samuri movie feel to it with the appropriate music and sound effects.

The movie is incomplete in that it is only volume 1. The story is incomplete....


We learn something important at the very end of the movie that changes "The Bride" 's...

I've been dying for this movie to come out, especially since Sonny Chiba is in it. I loved all the Streetfighter movies.

this BETTER be a good movie. i mean i've seen the commercial, oh i don't know, maybe 150000 times!!!

I'm assuming that it must be good or the studio would have never agreed to release it as a two parter with parts 1 & 2 a couple of months apart. If part one had bad word of mouth, part two would be doomed before it was even released.

I'm really looking forward to this film..I can't wait to see Uma Thurman talking Japanese with English subtitles. I guess there's an Anime section in the middle. The reviews today were kickass.. http://www.kill-bill.com/

The anime section is just background for one of the characters. It is done well like cowboy bebop.

Just got back from the theater.... fucking awesome awesome movie. wow. I'm gonna have to see it a couple more times at least before Volume 2 in February. GO see this NOW!

the girl who played GoGo was in 'Battle Royale' ... very badass japanese movie, hard to get in the states though. A bunch of kids from a high school class are taken to a deserted island and forced to kill each other off till only 1 is left as the winner. I also read she just had her 19th birthday... ohhhteens.

I might add that she dies off early on in the movie and the movie makes less and less sense as it progresses.

yea it does have some problems.... the book is alot better, but it was cool to see the movie anyways.

battle royale 2 should be available on dvd from amazon uk in a couple months. suppose to be pretty badass.

I'm sorry for dragging an old thread up, but I just got this movie yesterday..If you're a fan of the Shaw Brothers, or Sonny Chiba. You have to see this movie. It's just fucking Awesome. I can't wait to see Part2.

mrs gooder rented it, but i never got a chance to watch it... i will buy it to add to my collection anyway...
