Silent Night is a little unexpected. Pretty funny and cool actually.
Silent Night - Chuck Billy, Scott Ian, Jon Donais, Chris Wyse, John Tempesta
And Dio / Iommi combo rocks as always. One of my fav Xmas songs and they did a good job on it.

I want to take this into work and blast it to drown out the stupid fucking Destiny's Child songs that repeat every 45 minutes. I really, really like the take on Silent Night - who is the singer, and what's the name of his band?

I love this cd...especially silent night - FAngel - it's Chuck Billy. His band is Testament. One of the greatest metal bands of all time.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get this album. However, after looking at the track listing and reading positive reviews about Chuck Billy's "Silent Night", I will pick it up.

One of my favorite all time Christmas albums is Merry Axemas...a lot of the same folks on that one as this, actually. Here's the link for it on Amazon...

IMO, the first one is better than the second one.

Ugh... the only song even worth checking out is 'Silent Night'. Most are performed by a bunch of has-beens and never-weres. Calling most of these performers "metal" is like saying Vanilla Ice and Kriss Kross were rappers...
I would rather listen to traditional christmas music than novelty bullshit.

I'm a big fan of King Diamond. But King made his own song not really a remake.

Grohl is pretty metal. Granted the Foo Fighters are more miss than hit, but check out Probot. It has some damn good metal tunes on there.

chuck billy should die, that was the worst song on the album. The kulicks putting theses albums out are really cool just to hear different guys sing these songs. Check out their other albums like the maiden, metallica and priest tributes.

Although I won't agree with you about the great Chuck Billy dying, I will agree with you about the Kulick tribute albums. I have the Iron Maiden one but need to track down the other two.

And Dio fucking RULES on "God Rest."

I love Dio, but he is walking through that song. He has no feeling in his voice compared to his other songs. Just compare "Ear in the Wall" to the song on this album. It alost sounds like he's mocking the entire thing until almost the end when he throws some power into his voice.
