I recently got this one in my e-mail and got a good laff out of it. Enjoy....

Dear Beloved,

I am the above named person but now undergoing medical treatment now.
I am married to Dr. Gabriel Smith who worked with Royal Dutch oil firm
for nine years before he died in the year 2006 .We were married for
twenty-nine years without a child. He died as a result of Plane Crash.
Before his death we were both born again .Christians.Since his death I
decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home
which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he
deposited the sum of $5.6 Million (Five Million six hundred thousand
U.S. Dollars) with one finance/security company.

Presently, this money is still with the Security Company. Recently, my
Doctor told me that I would not last for the next three months due to
cancer problem. Though what disturbs me most is my stroke.Having known
my condition I decided to donate this fund to church or better still a
Christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going
to instruct here in. I want a church or individual that will use this
to fund churches, orphanages and widows propagating the word of God
and to ensure that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us
to understand that blessed is the hand that giveth. I took this
decision because I don't have any child that
will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians
and I don't want my husband's hard earned money to be misused by
unbelievers. I don't want a situation where this money will be used in
an ungodly manner, hence the reason for taking this bold decision. I
am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am
going to be in the bossom of the Lord.Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the
lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I don't need any
telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and
because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me always.

I don't want them to know about this development.
With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I
shall give you the contact of the Finance/Security Company and
Certificate of Deposit which you will need to claim the consignment.

I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as
the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to
always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. My happiness is
that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that wants to serve
the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be
prayerful all through your life. Any delay in your reply will give me
room in sourcing for a church or Christian individual for this same
purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated
herein. Hoping to hear from you. I know my God has directed me to you.
Remain blessed in the name of the Lord,

Best Regards
Mrs.Rose Gabriel Smith

Well lets start with NO MENTION of her husband the deposed NIGERIAN dictator or funds in the National bank of NIGERIA. Hey, maybe it originated from there but it is a different slant trying to prey (sic) upon Christian values. None the less, it's good for a laugh or two.:icon_mrgr

I love these dumb fucking letters. Its fucking amazing dipshits still fall for this crap. I laugh at the morons that get scammed out of their retirement money, all in the hopes of getting more money.

Blessed are the idiots of the world, for their stupidity provides humor to those of higher intellect.

Like the christian angle. These nigers are getting tricky!

Oh, it's funny. I almost think that anyone that gets taken in by those emails deserves to be scammed. The Christian-themed emails have been used by the Nigerian scammers for a few years now. All those emails are basically the same thing: advance-fee fraud. They just mix-up the details of the scams every now and then.

If you check out 419eater.com you can see just how much variety there is in precisely how the Nigerian scammers work.

For being born again Christians, they sure have encountered a lot of hard luck. Shouldn't they just wait for God to provide?

They're getting better at this. I like how they added she had a stroke, which might explain why it's written so poorly.

A quick google search of "Rose Gabriel Smith" turns up another forum which has discussed this letter. The source alway Nigeria, but it bounces through other places, Brazil, Isreal and a few others.

Who was the guest on the show that said he likes to fuck with those scammers? I remember hearing someone say they did it for entertainment, going through the whole process all the way up to actually sending any money or giving any real account info.
