Definitely worth trying out. He'd most likely be good as 3rd mic once in a while

Very funny guy. One of the best shows I have heard in months.

DL is great. It's amazing that such a popular comic and someone that you'd never expect to do the show can fit in so well. I hope his publicist reads this: DL is great on O&A,.

Yeah, he's a funny guy and well spoken, too. Probably not gonna happen, though. He's pretty busy, I would think.

He is great on the show. The best moment for me was when Bob, who is deep down gay I think, made Sam his slave. DL's reaction was genuine and very funny.

Anything would be an improvement over Patrice. DL can bring the black perspective, but unlike Patrice, he's not a one-trick-pony. When they are discussing topics, he can converse intelligently without the whole, "white people do this, but black people do this!" schtick.

Yeah, he's really versatile. That whole "I don't care if politicians are corrupt if they're my guys" is really unexpected from a black guy.
Keep him off politics and he's a funny motherfucker. He had some great lines yesterday.

Funny thing is, he was a better guest than Chris Rock.

I really did enjoy his presence on the show Friday, hope he takes them up on the open invitation.

He is black? Maybe that is why you like him. You know who you'd really like? Bryant Gumble. He sounds just like a white man

He's smart as hell and funny to boot. I can't wait to hear the show on Monday to see if David put DL's money to good use.

If it keeps them from bringing in Jeff Ross to "help out" when Jimmy is away I'm all for it.
Soon as I see JR's name in the PAD data I'm gone. Whiny plug whore.

I was a bit unsure of him at first but some of his stuff on Friday had me laughing. Wouldn't mind hearing him on the show more often.
Patrice is still the HNIC though.

Unless he bought a life and a personality with it, I doubt he put it to good use. Hopefully Sam can salvage that bit. God bless Sam Roberts.

It's a Rock bit, Don, about Colin Powell. About how "he speaks so well" is an insult.
But yeah, DL was great. His conversation with David was really funny.

My brother and I were havnig the same conversation last night. Basically anytime Jimmy is gone the first call should be to DL's publicist. He is fantastic on the show. I have loved him since his Leno appearance where he defended the hell out of Imus.

I know the bit. Was just saying that DL was a better guest than Rock. Except when they made Chris watch Two Girls one Cup.

Oh Don. No matter what side you're on, we all feel that way. When will you realize this little buddy? :action-sm
And DL is great on the show, I would love to see him come in more often.

DL's great and I hope to hear more of him. Hated him on his overly liberal comedy central show, but what's a nigga gonna do with Bush in office? Bush was the elephant in the room.
I loved him sticking up for Imus.
BUT.
He went overboard sticking up for the Illinois governor. Come on. What's he trying to do, become a politician? Let the other club-members know he's down? If a governor gets caught red-handed for blatant corruption, you don't give him a pass. That to me proved he's as fake as I'm scared Patrice might be. And I hope to god I'm wrong about patrice. Pretty sure I am, but it's been a nagging concern.

I have to admit I had a little DL hate going on the first time he was in studio, but this past time, he was fuckin gold. He meshed perfectly with the flow of the show. I think the problem the first time around was, to me anyway, he was trying to shoehorn in his own act into the show instead of letting the funny grow organically the way it does there. This time he smartened up & it showed. DL ruled this time around, and I'd love to see an occasional guest 3rd mic gig by him.

He was fucking hilarious on Friday, and the fact that he gave David $200 for a rub & tug was one of the best bits I've heard on the show.
______________
Check out my "Pendulum" remix! Opie gave it props on the air on Monday, said he loved it, and that he was honored to have me call in with some Instant Feedback. Maybe if they ever go back to the contest, they'll give it a play. It's the first song at my MySpace below:
