It looks like MAYBE half of the Top 36 on American Idol (a singing talent competition) actually..... HAVE. SINGING. TALENT.

They're clearly following the same tired formula of hiring maybe half people that have talent and the other half are based on how incredibly annoying, over-the-top emotional, outright flaming, screechy, horrible, ugly they are - the worse and more annoying, the better.

and another one, Joanna, but it looks like they booted her already. They told her she made it last night, but she's not listed in the Top 36 on their website. She was the hottest girl, but forgot her words during every single audition, so I don't know why they picked her, aside from the hotness. From what I can see on the interwebs, she is banging someone from the AI production company and also has had a record deal in the past. Maybe they were trying to avoid last year's 'ringer' controversy. They replaced her with a rather unattractive lass named Felicia Barton. Not only is she not hot, but she's one of the few girls who didn't cry when she was eliminated.

Looks like Tatiana watched herself on TV and decided to try to act a little more normal - and eat a lot of Cheetos. It looks like she gained 30 lbs since Hollywood week. Still, the fat bitch can sing.

Ann Marie's ass looked incredible in that dress. I didn't think she was any worse than Alexis, but the judges seemed to be pushing her quite a bit, so it looks like she and her thick child-rearing legs will be moving on. Whatever. Ann Marie was the best looking of a bunch of mostly not too attractive girls this year.

My predictions after the show were Danny, Alexis, and Anoup. Dial Idol says that fat country bumpkin Michael is ahead of Anoup. Don't know exactly how the wild card round will work, but I expect they'd bring Anoup, Ricky, Ann Marie, and Tatiana back if they get eliminated tonight.
