I totally agree but I still love watching it. Its fun to see all the cool cars and what they go for. Its also fun to get annoyed wondering where all this money comes from to buy these cars and we've got none for the most part.

It's killing me that GM is selling their collection. It's sad to think that alot of benchmark cars will be relegated to a garage / private collection to never be seen again. Still, mu dream job is to be a buyer at these auctions, just to spend somebody elses' money.

Speaking of GM selling their collection, I would give my first born for that 97 Chevy Intimidator they're auctioning right now.

Exactly, anyone with a clapped out 70 Chevelle or 69 Mustang thinks it's worth at least 10 Grand

I saw that. Kinda made me laugh. Over the past few months he's laid off 19 people from HMS, which compared to a lot of the Cup teams, thats a really low number. He must have used the money he would have used to pay them to buy those cars. LOL. I don't care what he does as long as he puts good equipment out for Jr. to drive.

I found this interesting.
Penske: NASCAR may follow IRL on engines: Roger Penske said Monday the use of smaller race engines might not be just for the IndyCar Series, which expects to announce its powerplant plans later this month. The four-cylinder turbocharged configuration that Indy Racing League officials are considering could end up in NASCAR, too. "I think you'll see that migrate even into NASCAR because that's where we are today," Penske said in a Bloomberg radio interview from the Detroit Auto Show. NASCAR is considering the IRL's lead in the use of alternative fuel, but chief executive officer Brian France recently said no major engine changes are planned. jayski.com/cupnews.htm#engines

That is pretty interesting. You should post this over in our 09 Nascar thread. I think this would really get us Nutcar fans talking.

Yeah. A friend of mine is named Shelby. He had one and sold it and would
like to buy another one but he just won't pay what the asshats want for them.
He just bought a 200g Freightliner pickup so money isn't a problem.
He can afford it, he just just feels like it's not worth it.

It's already feeling like things are picking up for the season.. Stores are getting ready.. Publix has the giant display set up near the front and 10x the normal beer inventory. It's almost time.

Nice. I haven't bothered doing the fantasy bid the past 2 years. I'm always so far off.

We're pretty much even at this point. I might've pulled a few ahead on the last car but it's still anyone's game.

Well that should bring more than Jeff's did since that was only a 2 race winner.

Wow. Finally something from West Coast Customs that doesn't completely suck shit. I actually like that a lot. It would also be cool as hell to have lunch with Harrison Ford just for winning the car.

Yeah it was. I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed. I can't believe no one chimed in on the show and mentioned it was him.
