It looks as the Boneyard brought Cane over form Ethel/Alt Nation.
He is one of the few Jocks that has any kind of personality IMO.
Hair Nation was good at first as a new channel lineup but it kinda wears thin after a while like some sort of novelty act. I can only toelrate so much Whitesnake and Kiss.
I was never really into boneyard anyhow.
I too was hoping for the return of Fungus.

Boneyard vs. Hair Nation?

First of all, they are most certainly not the same station.

Personally, I like Boneyard much better. Hair Nation is like the station for the kids that thought Cinderella was "metal". (ok, yes, it's glam metal or whatever).

I was just looking at the stations the other day and I think this sums it up - while the Boneyard was playing Iron Maiden, Hair Nation was playing Kix.




Oh, and punk sucks a fat cock - take your one chord and stick it up your ass. That being said, it's better than whatever that fucking trainwreck on 52 is supposed to be. Faction??? Rap-Metal? Sports Rock? Way to make a whole station out of Kid Rock, Limp Biskit, Gary Glitter, and "We are the Champions".

The new Boneyard has evolved into a somewhat different station, and I have to say I don't like it.
























I LOVE it!

Seriously, the station has become what they're calling "Classic Hard Rock" so, in addition to Priest and Maiden and new stuff from bands like that, they'll throw in an occasional "roots of metal/hard rock" song like an old Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, or AC/DC. They skim the glam metal without getting too far into the ridiculous over-the-top shit like Warrant or Winger - just playing the real stuff.

It's really evolved from a "how is this different from Hair Nation" into a fantastic station for people who love hard rock of every era.

Incidentally, I was reminded to post this because Jimmy said on today's show it's the best station around, and I agree.

Hell yeah to whoever is programming this now. Opie should make them the music programming VP when he becomes CEO. (lib lob)

I would agree with you except the repetition of AC/DC, Kiss and Rush is ridiculous. I like both those bands but I don't need to hear them 3 times an hour. Zep, Sabbath, Motorhead cool. Ted Nugent and Billy Squier? YuckFucking gay fossil rock. I like that they brought Breaking Bone back even if its as a 1 song at a time deal.
