Anyone catch this movie? It just came out on DVD and I remember Ron talking about it middle of last year. Talking about the dopeness and the wackness. It's a pretty good movie w/a kickass soundtrack.

Something about that main kids constantly stoned face made me want to punch him.

I saw it when it came out, I remember thinking that some of the constant reminders of the time period felt forced to me. If I remember correctly they said how Rudy was ruining NYC like ten times in it. With each extra mention it made me more annoyed, it's like I get it, it's the mid 1990's, don't make me want to punch the seat in front of me by hitting me over the head with it.

Also all I could think about was how lame hip-hop kids in the mid 90's were compared to hard core/punk kids. We were wearing baggy pants skateboarding, all the sudden they are, we start wearing dickies and wife beaters, then they are. Fuck the whole idea that hip hop is original, all they could do was rip off punk rockers. And the shit they did on their own like big puffy northface jackets and timberland boots, no one in their right mind wanted to wear that shit.
