A fourth installment of the horror franchise has been announced and will start filming early this year.[1] The press release described the film as "re-starting the Scream franchise," which has been regarded as indication of a new cast and the concept of further films to be produced in the future.[2] Jamie Kennedy has since told iFMagazine that he may reprise his role as Randy Meeks in the fourth film, despite his character having previously been killed off in the second film of the trilogy. He also claimed that the rest of the cast would be a mixture of new characters with "old faces that you wouldn’t believe", and that the film will only go ahead with the involvement of director Wes Craven. In another interview, Kennedy stated that Bob Weinstein wants everyone to return, saying "Bob wants us all to return for another film... I don't know how I'd return, but he wants me back.

Maybe it'll be shown as a double feature with Saw 11.

Wikipedia and The Guardian report! It must be true!

I'm going to need something more concrete than a pre-pre-pre-pre production rumor.

Remember those two years when everyone thought Kevin Williamson was a genius?

It is moving forward, but unless the buzz is great I doubt I'd see it.

Cursed was horrible, and Wes Craven's new movie 25/8, was one of the worst script I've read by a somewhat well regarded writer/director since "The Happening".

The premise of 25/8 is a vicious murderer is supposedly killed on the same day that seven babies are born in a small town. The murderer then reappears seventeen years later to kill the teens that were born on that day. All I could keep thinking was that in seventeen years not one family had moved away? Not only a lame premise but a lame story throughout.
