Why do some movies come and go without so much as a peep. There was a movie I heard of a long time ago called "Outlander" that I wanted to see. I had hoped to find it when it came out but apparently it came and went. I didn't notice and neither did anyone else.

The same goes for "Sunshine". It looked like it had a pretty good budget as well and before I could see it, it was out on video. Do some people get blacklisted or something?

Some companies suck at marketing or can't afford it.
I just heard about Outlander this weekend and that is because it was given a limited release on Friday. So you might be able to check your paper for showtimes.
EDIT: Or I guess if you aren't a dummy you could check the internet. Why the fuck did I say paper? I'm dumb.

How can we know about them, if we never hear about them?

Honestly, I haven't been to a movie theater since Spiderman. The first one. It's been a while. I don't give a shit about when I see a movie. I'll be at Gamestop at 12:00 waiting for the latest game, but fuck movies. When my friends talk about movies I feel like we're talking about movies because we have nothing else to talk about. It's boring. It's a stupid story with video.
Whatever looks good in "new releases" at the movie store or On Demand is what I watch. HBO and STARZ are my channels... but HBO sucks my dick! What a sellout channel.

Yeah that figures. I feel sort of guilty about downloading a film that didn't really get a shot in the theater. I will probably buy it blindly when it comes out on DVD.

I just got back from seeing Oulander a little while ago. Absolutely no one in the theater but me. Overall it was enjoyable. Not great but good. I can sort of mix it up with the 13th Warrior and Army of Darkness. It's a shame but I kind of think James Caviezel sort of got blacklisted or something for the whole "I'm Jesus" thing.
