Saw this this morning and loved it. Definitely the funniest movie I've seen in a while.

Seth Rogen actually creates a character as opposed to playing himself, and this is definitely his best work yet. Everyone was good in this, especially Michael Pena.

Definitely not a mainstream movie though, some people will either be appalled by it or just not get it. I've already read one bad review that stated the following: " Observe and Report has a moronic sense of humour, trading in racism, sexism, profanity and violence at every predictable turn." Sigh. Some people are just born to be faggots and will get offended any chance they can get. Fuck em.

This movie is hysterical and also unique, and it worked for me.

PS - Anna Faris, please leave your goddam lips alone! They were awful in this movie, totally distracting. Why do women think having fucking wax lips is attractive?

i hope to see it this weekend. like many of you, i saw the trailer for this a while ago and i immediately thought, "shit, another mall cop movie? what the fuck is so appealing about mall cops that they have to make not one but two movies about them?" but just from the trailer, i could tell that this one would be a vastly better movie as opposed to the schticky slapstick dreck that was Paul Blart.

If it's half as good as Foot the Fist Way and Eastbound and Down it should be a good.

Foot Fist Way was only ok. Wasn't anything special. Eastbound and Down rules.

Just got back from seeing Observe & Report. I thought it was great and really funny. It was a dark comedy for sure; very brutal. I'd recommend it if you're in the mood.

I Love You Man is a regular mainstream comedy, Observe & Report is a very dark comedy. The trailer does not let on how whacked out this movie is. If you go into this expecting a typical Seth Rogen movie, you will be disappointed. Aside from a five to ten minute stretch towards the end when I wasn't sure where it was going , I laughed the entire time. The more I think about this movie, the more I like it.

I will say that besides my girl and I, there were about 6-8 other people in the theater, and I didn't hear a single laugh out of any of them, so that goes to show this will be a polarizing movie.

Just because it's mainstream doesn't mean it's bad. I Love You Man, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad were all mainstream comedies but really funny. Observe & Report was great though. The last 15 minutes made the movie for me.

Quick thing that bothered me were Seth Rogan's teeth in the movie. Were those really his? Looked a bit odd.

I didn't mean it like that, I am not a comedy snob in the least. It's just Observe & Report cannot be compared to I Love You Man, they are two totally different types of comedy.

Just got back from seeing it... Wasn't a laugh a minute. There were some good scenes, and it dragged for a little bit... But I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did to the climax of the movie. Comes out of fucking nowhere And I had a good extended laugh all the way though the credits.

The chick who played Nell (Colleen Wolfe) is hot.

I thought this while watching it, and oddly enough, on the IMDb, the writer Jody Hill confirmed my suspicions... This movie was based on Taxi Driver with a comedic twist. Look at the scene where Rogen is pumping iron... That soliloquy was almost a direct rip-off of DeNiro's soliloquy, right down to the "Wait a minute, that didn't sound right..."

her character was one of the most true to life versions of that type of girl as ive ever seen.

even as cartoonish as it was, she was so close to the many vapid mall girls and tanning salon girls that ive known.

i'd recommend the movie...

also, what that one actor did (in slow motion too) was one of the ballsiest things i have ever seen on film. that scene has no peer - although, the hotel room fight in borat is up there.

Finally got around to seeing this alleged comedy. After all the ranting and raving Jimmy did about this movie, maybe my expectations were set too high, but I didn't even chuckle once. Maybe it's just my childish sense of humor considering I recently watched Hot Rod and laughed like a tard. Cool beans.
