Paul McCartney was a great songwriter once, but like all great songwriters, he ran out of ideas. Same thing happened to Billy Joel and the Rolling Stones. Billy had the sense to quit while he's ahead, but every five years or so, the Stones put out another nerw album which doesn't sell because their songs aren't so great anymore. McCartney and the Stones should take Billy's example and just play live shows.
