The period movie, titled Public Enemies, is going to focus on the FBI agent Melvin Purvis' attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd.

Public Enemy is directed by Michael Mann and is starring Christian Bale, Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard and Channing Tatum.

Did you know that a lot of those automatic firearms used were stolen from police and military?

Kind of Bonny/Clyde broke into a national guard post and stole Thompsons and that big BAR that Clyde liked punching holes with.

here's the new trailer. i really do want to see this, just for Bale and Depp. Mann's love of steadicam work is still there. it almost looks out of place in this kind of period piece story. i'm not the biggest fan of the steadicam myself. the stationary camerawork looks much more refined and professional, but when you switch to the steadicam work too much, it starts to look less professional. so bouncing from one style to the other gives the film an awkward feel.

Channing Tatum looks like the new "It" guy in Hollywood. He plays Duke in GI Joe is the starring role in Fighting (which looks pretty good) and is rumored to play Captain America.
