LOS OLIVOS, California (Nov. 18) - Investigators conducting a criminal probe swarmed Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch on Tuesday, a sheriff's spokesman said. The purpose of the search was not disclosed.

Jackson and his three young children were not at the ranch at the time of the raid, his spokesman, Stuart Backerman, told The Associated Press. He said that for three weeks Jackson and his family have been in Las Vegas, where Jackson was filming a video.

Backerman declined further comment, saying he still lacked detailed information about the purpose of the investigation.

More than 20 investigators from the Santa Barbara County sheriff's and district attorney's offices served a warrant about 8:30 a.m. as part of an ''ongoing criminal investigation,'' Sgt. Chris Pappas said in a prepared statement.

The district attorney's office had no comment, said legal secretary Debbie Popp.

The $12.3 million Santa Ynez Valley property, which has a mansion, its own zoo and amusement park with bumper cars, a merry-go-round and Ferris wheel, has often been the site of children's parties.

Nearly 10 years have passed since the 45-year-old singing superstar faced a child-molestation investigation in a case that never resulted in criminal charges.

The singer who had international hits with the albums ''Thriller'' (1982), ''Bad'' (1987) and ''Dangerous'' (1991), saw his career begin to collapse in 1993 amid allegations he molested a boy. Jackson maintained his innocence, and charges were never filed. He reportedly paid a multimillion-dollar settlement.

Jackson is also connected to Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano, who has begun serving federal prison time for possessing illegal explosives, and is being investigated about whether he secretly taped conversations of celebrities and their lawyers.

Pellicano, 59, reportedly worked for Jackson while the singer was under investigation for child molestation in the early 1990s.

As the raid was under way, Court TV reported that the warrant was tied to allegations brought by a 12-year-old boy. That could not immediately be confirmed by The Associated Press.

In a television documentary broadcast on ABC earlier this year, Jackson said he had slept in a bed with many children. ''When you say bed you're thinking sexual,'' the singer said. ''It's not sexual, we're going to sleep. I tuck them in. ... It's very charming, it's very sweet.''

As of last December, when Jackson interacted with young fans outside a lawsuit hearing in Santa Maria, Calif., he was still inviting children to his home for parties.

The search came on the same day Epic Records released ''Number Ones,'' a greatest hits collection featuring Jackson's new single, ''One More Chance.'' On Nov. 26, CBS is scheduled to air a Jackson special consisting mainly of old concert footage.

Jackson caused an international uproar last year when he displayed his baby, Prince Michael II, to fans by dangling him briefly from a fourth-floor balcony in Germany, where he had gone to accept an award.

Jackson called the incident a ''terrible mistake,'' and Berlin authorities said the actions were not punishable.

Not much is known about Prince Michael II, whose mother has not been identified. The singer's 6-year-old son, Prince Michael I, and 5-year-old daughter, Paris, were born during his marriage to Debbie Rowe, his plastic surgeon's nurse, which ended in 1999.

He was also married to Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis's daughter, between 1994 and 1996.

Jackson routinely keeps the children's heads covered with cloth while escorting them in public - and he usually sports a surgical mask himself when out and about. He has said he wants to protect them from the public eye.

The ''King of Pop'' amassed a half-billion-dollar fortune over the past 20 years, but his former financial advisers have said, in a lawsuit last spring, that he is saddled with debt and teetering near bankruptcy. Current financial advisers have denied that claim.

Jackson has appeared weak and ghostly pale at many of his recent public appearances, and his own attorneys have said has been involved in nearly 1,000 lawsuits.

In June, he suffered a suspected anxiety attack during a visit to Indianapolis to deliver a deposition in a lawsuit and his doctor said the singer was weak, dizzy and dehydrated.

In a separate Santa Maria lawsuit hearing earlier this year, the singer hobbled into court on crutches with his left foot wrapped in bandages because of swelling from what he described as a spider bite and delayed testimony because he said he was too ill to appear in court.

When he did finally testify, he giggled during questioning and made comical faces at people in the courtroom.

Any and all kid touchers should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, period. He deserves what he gets if he indeed did these things. Unfortunately, he may just be an easy target for false accusations because he's off the charts in terms of weirdness, he's got $$, and he's been accused before.

He's an easy target because he's an unrepentant child molestor. He already paid millions to buy off a previous victim and still admits that he sleeps in the same bed with young boys, but claims it's completely innocent. Yeah right. He should be in prison along with the parents of the idiots that still allow him access to their children. But rich people aren't subject to the same laws that we are. I don't know if there's a hell or not, but if there is his money won't prevent him from frying there for eternity with the rest of the piece of shit perverts who prey on children.

I should have been clearer... I have little doubt that he is in fact a kid-toucher. I am reasonably certain that he's had mud on his pencil from Emmanuel Lewis, Macaulay Culkin, etc.

However, one can't ignore the fact that in today's world the other possibility could be true as well.

UPDATE:

Arrest warrant issued for Michael Jackson

LOS OLIVOS, California (CNN) -- Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Michael Jackson on one count of child molestation, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department told CNN Wednesday.

Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, was searched Tuesday as part of the investigation.

Detective Tim Gracey with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department said authorities are working to determine Jackson's whereabouts and bring him into custody.

Jackson's spokesman Stuart Backerman said the singer has been in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the past two-and-a-half weeks, shooting a video for the song "One More Chance." That single is on his "Number Ones" album, a greatest-hits collection released Tuesday by Epic Records.

Backerman said he did not know what the investigation was about, and promised Jackson, 45, will "cooperate fully with authorities."

About 70 officials from the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department and the district attorney's office searched the home, known as Neverland Ranch, for about 10 hours. There was no official word on what they were searching for or may have found.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department and the district attorney will hold a news conference Wednesday at 11 a.m. (2 p.m. EST).

Apparently, he's being charged with MULTIPLE counts of child molestation (one kid, several times). He's been asked to surrender to the Santa Barbara Police and turn over his passport. They're seeking $3 million bail.

You don't and can't get a warrent for arrest when the only evidence is some kid saying that jackson sexually abused him. They have evidece now, they searched his house and the grounds and it wasn't untill after that they issued a warrent for arrest.

Jackson is completely fucked because this kid and his family ARE NOT looking for money AND the kid will testify under oath. Unlike the previous problems where the family was "paid off" and he as well as others said that the people just wanted money, this family and this kid are not looking for profit. That right there and the evidence as well as the jury seeing some little kid testifying will put this freak behind bars once and for all. And please somebody put those kids of his up for adoption.

Actually the law changed and the victim can be forced to testify now. Last time, after getting the payoff, the victim refused to testify.

This one won't just go away with a payoff. The family isn't even filing a civil suit - they're not after money.

They don't have a choice. This is a criminal investigation. And since the prior charges, CA now has a law that you don't have a choice if you want to cooperate or not, you have to testify. Plus, I don't think the family wanted money, they didn't even come forward. The kid's therapist went to the authorities.

It was said that in the search, they found letters and videos.

He's going to prison. Unless:

a) he somehow flees prosecution successfully.

OR

b) he takes his own life.

I'm sure he will be well-received by the other inmates...

wouldn't it be great if he flees and gets caught, tries to kill himself and fails and then he is convicted.

And now we're hearing that this kid he allegedly molested had cancer. I figure Wacko Jacko thought he'd be home free once the kid died.

You know, if this didn't happen at Neverland Ranch, I could've sworn this would have been a Norton incident. :loll2:

I'm shocked, I'm saddened..... not really. I'm with everyone else. After the first "incident" why, oh why, did he ever allow children back to his ranch.... or... why did any parent allow their children to go to his ranch.... It's f'n crazy. What a FREAK! He used to be so cool back in the 70's & 80's, now he's just a pathetic, sick, f'er. I hope he goes to jail and either get's "used" by other inmates or hangs himself in the shower.

I don't care WHO you are, there is no excuse for hurting a child!

What a sick fuck. Who builds secret chambers in their house and makes it into a kiddie bedroom? If I was rich, I'd have secret chambers all over the place, but I'd use them to store midgets and hookers, not kids.
Fox News showed a portion of his videotaped statement from the 1993 allegations, and in it he actually quoted the Bible and said, "Suffer the little children, come unto me." I couldn't stop laughing when I heard that. That'll be his defense: Biblical misinterpretation.
He actually looks like the female ape from the "Planet of the Apes" remake now. Even his hair was the same for a while.
He should be ----- with a dildo wrapped in barbed wire while a syphilitic heroin junkie urinates on the fresh wounds on his ass--unless he likes that sort of thing.
Does this mean MTV is finally free to remove its toungue from his asshole now?

They were all blaming the kid for hurting poor Michael. They should all be beaten and pissed on. If there was a videotape of Jackson tieing up the kid and doing him in the balloon knot, they'd claim that the kid forced him to.

The ability of these people to deny all evidence and common sense baffles me.

Snce I posted that, I saw a brief clip on MTV with those tools John Norris and Kurt Loder--they couldn't seem more like candidates for "Most Likely to be Jealous of the Little Boy." They said that it seemed like most people thought Jackson was innocent, according to a poll they were taking or something.
Shit, they'll probably still suck his ass after he's in prison. I don't get it, though. He hasn't done shit in about 15 years, and they act like Thriller just came out.

Maybe the reason he's scowling and squeezing the bars is because the guy already caught him.
He should go the OJ route and start a search for "the real child molester."

You're totally right Py! Notice how Jacko invites sick, terminally ill kids to his ranch. Once the kid dies, he's in the clear. Though I did hear that this accuser survived.

Jacko "allegedly" gave these kids wine and sleeping pills to calm them. And "allegedly" played that game called "rubba rubba" with them. HAHAHA!!!!!!! He is so guilty. Though to be honest with you, I really think he's going to get away with this. If OJ can get off double murder, Jacko and his attorneys will have no problem playing all the right cards to get away with this.
