Paying off all my credit cards and trying not to use them. A check through snail mail is crazy in this day and age....other options?
Can I load up one of those pre-paid Visa's with cash and use that? Or a Visa gift card type thing?
I have no clue.

Paypal comes right out of your checking account, most sites take it.

I'm a big fan of the pre-paid Visa or in my case, pre-paid Mastercard. The only problem I ran into is, sometimes CC Bill won't take it.

The only problem with using a debit card for purchasing anything is there is no consumer protection behind it. It's just like cash, you do the transaction and the money is spent.
With a credit card you can dispute a charge and the bank will resolve the issue with you.

Don't fuck with Paypal. They have a bad habit of trying to hit your bank account more than once for a purchase. They also have a habit of freezing accounts if you have a positive balance.
Prepaid Visa, Visa gift cards or a separate account with debit card are the best options.

This is true if it is a true Debit card without the Visa or Mastercard logo on them.
use this:
www.netspend.com (http://www.wackbag.com/www.netspend.com)
It's a pre-paid card that can be used anywhere they take debit. Just make sure to read the info about avoiding monthly fees, etc.

I use my debit card. Comes right out of my checking account, so if I don't have money I don't buy. Don't have to worry about hidden fees with prepaid cards, replenishing the card etc.

I have a debit card and it's linked to my Paypal account. I don't have Paypal directly linked to my checking account. I also have a Discover card and that's the secondary card on my Paypal.
