I spent the yesterday morning in Springfield taking employment aptitude tests for the State of Illinois. Guess what? Don't know the correct usage of "there" "their" or "they're"? Don't know the difference between "your" and "you're"? Can't figure out proper punctuation? Don't bother taking the tests. Why? Because you will fail, miserably. You will not get a passing grade, which is needed to get employment with the state. I wasn't applying for "state spelling bee monitor" or "state rocket scientist" I was taking the tests for "Highway Equiptment Operator" and "Highway Maintenance".

I was so happy to see that stuff come up on the tests. I passed. I wonder how many people didn't because they bought into the "Dude, its a fucking message board, it doesn't matter." mentality.

I have my B.A. in English Writing and IRL can be pretty douchey when it comes to correct spelling and punctuation, but on message boards I dont bother with it. We're here to shoot the shit and be silly geese, not discuss the fine points of English grammar.

Also, grammar is about syntax, so your two examples of spelling and punctuation errors aren't even grammatical issues.
