Ok, thanks to the wonderful people I live with, our water was shut off temporarily yesterday, but was turned back on. When it came back on my shower(I took the master bedroom) now has intolerably low water pressure(if it were upright, it'd be like Gene Simmons cumming).
I don't really know anything about plumbing, so I was turning here, in hopes that through the 'serious' replies, I might actually get some help.

Thanks

Prob a bunch of crud broke free... and is in the line now... did your water run red/rust colored when they put it back on?

Just the shower or the house in general?
The shower did kick out some discolored water. So I should give it a run without the head on?

I'm no plumber, but I've had this happen in my house. What it was in my case though is there was pieces of the fiber lining (I think) that broke free and got bunched up right at the hot water valve in my shower. I took it apart, pulled out the shit, and it's worked fine ever since

Is it just the shower or sinks too? And is it the hot or the cold or both that are reduced? It could be a shower head full of shit pull it and run it without and see how it is. If it's sinks too it could be as simple as they didn't turn the valve all the way on. If it's hot only I've had buildup in the main pipe out of the hot water heater but that would affect everyone and all sinks and so on. If it's a rental you have the right to get them to fix it right. If it's your house, and you are renting the other half then check some of the above. I'm no plumber but I've owned and landlorded for quite a lot of years and have had many issues I'm too cheap to call someone on and research and fix myself. Give some more info and I'll see if I can give you any additional help.

Chances are the showerhead has a screen and/or flow restrictor in it. It's probably plugged up with shit. I removed the screens and restrictors from ours. We have a well, so I don't care how much water we use. They ass-fuck me quarterly for the sewer fees because they can't meter our usage, so the more the better.

Ok, I may have to clean out the shower head. Restrictor was removed as I installed it but there may be some gunk inside clogging it somewhere. It's a $30 Target showerhead so I'm not too concerned about having to replace it. I just wasn't really sure where to start troubleshooting.
The flow out of the pipe seems ok. The hot is a bit slower than the cold, but the two combined should be creating more of a flow out of the head(I'd think at least)
What would be good to clean out the showerhead? Vinegar?

Vinegar is good for limescale and such. I think you need more of a "mechanical" cleaning.

take it apart...and clean all the crap out of it... the screens in the shower head should of stopped most of it there...When you turn water off then crank the main on fast... all that was static laying in your pipes gets blasted to your fixtures...if its tub and shower... just run the tub spout to get all the crap out.

open your outside hose bibbs to blast out any crap too... and clean all the aerators on the faucets.

if your hot is still shitty turn the hot valve off, pull out the stem...turn valve on a lil and wash out the valve body.. then replace the stem.

Just get a shower head from the circuit. They're powerful enough to clean elephants.

Dip it in CLR to remove scale, rust & such. If it's got chucks of shit in it though you'll have to take it apart.

I actually called the power company about our usage... and they sent a bunch of stuff for $20, a blanket for the water heater, some pipe insulation, new aerators for the faucets and a new shower head...

it makes me sad that Circus City went bankrupt. Best Buy is going to monopolize the consumer electronic retail market now.
