I'm 27 years old and just purchased my very first car. Not only a car, but my dream car. I've wanted one of these things since I was 16. It's yellow, manual transmission, and convertible.... all the things I wanted in a Jeep. Here she is.... 11 years in the making. This was the week I thought I deserved it. The wheels look a little goofy on it but so what.... there aint a dirt road for miles here.

Congrats man, welcome to the Jeep club. I got my '05 Military Edition the day I got back from my deployment. I went to the dealership in my uniform and everything. It basically went like this: Get dismissed from Jersey City armory. Curse whole way home at traffic after bumming ride. Walk into house. Hug mom and dad. Go to dealership. Sign papers. Drive brand spanking new manual transmission Wrangler home.

Awesome day.

If it was maybe a $300,000 sports car... then MAYBE I'd consider not letting people know where it is. It's a Jeep... with a briefcase FILLED with cash inside. It's not even a briefcase, it's a fucking suitcase with wheels. It needs wheels to roll around ALL that cash which is safely stowed away in the back.

Oh, I don't know... You might piss off some tool in here (or elsewhere) and they might make a counterfeit plate on their computer and start going through red lights with ticket cams just to screw with you. There was a story in the news recently about high school kids doing it to their teachers.

Get a mod to delete the pics, black out the plates using MS Paint and repost to your Photobucket.

I can do it for you, but I'll need your SSN and your mother's maiden name first. ;)

Sorry - the picture isn't up so all I'm picturing is a hillbilly taxi.

Oh, and you block out the plates for the same reason you block out serial numbers on firearms. So no one can pull any shenanigans. If you had a TX vehicle, for example, I could run your plate, get your VIN, DL number & whatnot and then put a mechanic's lein on it. It would only take about 2 hours, and you wouldn't be able to transfer the vehicle to anyone in or out of state until it was released.

CONGRATS BROTHER!! It's a big day man. The first car I bought was back in 1988 when I bought a 1985 Trans Am and the insurance was more then the car payment. I was broke, 19 years old and getting laid almost daily.

I bought my first brand new car in 1998. I ordered it with specific options and had to wait an agonozing 12 weeks for it to be built and shipped to Omaha. I was 29 years old and my face hurt from smiling so much the day I went to pick it up and a small crowd came up and I was congratulated by a few in the crowd when I told them it was my first new car. Here is a pic of my baby, with a pic of the second new vehicle (wifey cars don't count) I ever bought.

I plan on a viking funeral where I'm placed behind the wheel of my Camaro and they pour 20 gallons of race gas on it and set it afire with me sitting in the front seat, hands on the wheel and a bottle of Jack Daniels on the seat next to me. Negative, Jeep factory soft top. Theres a seam at the point in the door and the water just chennels down the rain gutter and hooks a downward turn right at the crease in the plastic. After doing some reading it's not uncommon apparently. Don't get me wrong, a jeep is a jeep. You expect a little random drop everynow and then but this was a stream on both sides.

Don't know if any of this will help any but thought I'd post it anyway.

SO finally after a summer of searching for the 17" in Rubicon rims for a decent price I was just about to give up. Today we head over to the All Truck Nationals in Carlisle and there they were. Picked up 4 rims for $125. 3 out of the 4 are in excellent shape the 4th has a few nicks and scraps on it. Anything I can do here at home to remove the scratches or just let it be and enjoy? It's not an overthetop scratch but I'm a stickller over shit like that.

So fun to drive and can totally tell chicks dig 'em.

I posted this not knowing my wife wants a divorce 48 hours later.

Apparently not all chicks dig 'em :action-sm

Post a picture of the whole package when you get the new rims mounted.

I've heard Jeep is the #1 choice of homosexual in this country and Jeep has been the top advertiser in gay magazines - at least that's what Bill Maher said one time. I believe it because I have seen a lot of rainbow stickers on Jeeps.

Subaru is also the main choice for fruits.
