What else would they broadcast on Saturday nights? They need a little variety on the weekends. I just hope they don't broadcast Howard Stern's show on 202

I don't see why. The shows cost next to nothing to produce, and they get listeners. Even Mel needs a reason to cancel a show.

Why are SNV shows being played at like 5PM and 6PM? Is Jason Ellis really important enough to have his replays start at 9 or 8?
The only good SNV show anyways is Special Delivery, which is a disgrace, seeing as Black Philip, High Life w/ Chris Tanely, and other good shows have died.

Who cares.
They played the same "uninformed" four times now. And these one hour shows are stupid. I'd rather hear a weekly "best of" instead of the same recycled shows over and over again. SNV is a cluster fuck.

Uninformed and Lazlow show continue.
Uninformed is available in high quality at theyre myspace page and they said it would be given to xm for the snv eventually. Bill and Joe are going to do 1 show a month.
Anthony mentioned Lazlow coming on to do his show with Wayne and Reed Live from the compound for the most part from now on. So my favorite two Virus shows will continue just not via the SNV.:)

It's tough to get comics to do shows live on Saturday. Getting rid of Lazlow would be a fucking crime though.

It didn't seem to be a problem for them in the past. Granted, they also had other shows to throw in there such as Than & Sam but Patrice, Bobby, etc all had ample airtime. Obviously, Bobby is unavailable now since he is sucking on the ballbag of Dane and that has hurt, but I think there is a bigger problem here.
It hurts for the selfish SNV reasons that Burr no longer lives in New York and when he comes to NY its for a gig, thus not going to be available to do a show on Saturday night.
I hope it works itself out since I think it was a very good platform for some of these shows and it was much appreciated by me to have something to listen to (and occasionally make fun of).

Precisely lol, I love the SNV shows. I don't understand what the deal with Jason E is I just don't get it nor dofind his show entertaining. I remember that the SNV was like booked solid for months at a time for quite a while. It would be nice to see a reemergence of shows and why not add more hours of programming like a 6 hour block of time to allocate.

Lazlow, Uninformed, and Black Phillip were the only ones that were really good to the point where I didn't want to miss them. Special Delivery and Bob Kelly I'll throw on if I happen to be listening, but I don't go out of my way for.
Getting rid of the SNV would be stupid. Jason Ellis is fucking unbearable. He's like a cartoon character.

Why would SNV be a a goner if it was on last night. I'm assuming you tuned in just long enough to hear the George Carlin interview and then tuned out.
Last week was Lazlow, last night was Uninformed... SNV is still happening.

Yep the SNV has become Jason Ellis along with Special Delivery, with Lazlow once a month. The new Uninformed is at they're myspace page and supposedly will be on xm in the future. As another poster said Lazlow and Uninformed were 2 best shows on the SNV.

I agree. Since Uninformed is usually pre-recorded my ideal lineup would be Uninformed from 6-9 and Lazlow 9-12 every Saturday.

The thing with the SNV is this --- on a sat night it's VERY difficult to get a comic to come in a do a free show. Saturday is $$ night. When a comic IS booked, more often then not it's with the best intentions, however, paid gigs do pop their heads out and dates need to be canceled. I've been trying to get Bob Kelly back in studio for what I think has been over a year now. Bill Burr moved to L.A. Patrice does his show at his own pace. Lazlow is still a regular. I, for one, enjoyed very much when those shows rotated week to week with rarely a gap in live programming. For those who enjoy some experimentation, there has been Louis CK, Otto & George, The Angry Video Game Nerd, Rick Shapiro among others.
A lot of these guys started with the hopes that one day they could be part of a semi-regular thing on the weekends. Such plans seem to have changed. How do you explain to a show which has been loyal for 3 years + that some unknown show is now a weekly staple on The Virus? I don't program before 9PM so it's difficult to produce a satisfactory answer.
There are other factors involved as well, which I won't get into details of here. Trust me when I tell you they are indeed legitimate and very much weigh in when a show trying to decide whether or not to continue with shows on the frequency in which they have occurred in the past.
I wish things were different, as I enjoy the SNV as I have for the last 3+ years. I hope things get back to the way they used to be, however it is difficult to say whether or not they will.

a while ago it used to be good but now I could care less if I miss a SNV.
Lazlow- good at times but too much bro storytelling
black philip is allright but if ya heard one show ya heard most of em.
uninformed is probably the best of em all.
special delivery is horrible, I can't make it past 10mins.

The comedians are great and most people love having them on. I think we all understand that the comedians don't get paid and cant give up gigs, have odd schedules, live elsewhere, etc etc. So it's common knowledge that its hard to get many people to show up. We all know SNV is your gig for the most part so it's great we get programming at all other than replys.
It would be cool to get some of the OnA characters to do half hour, hour or two hour shows. Personally I would like to hear Dru Boogie do a show, or the OnA crew do an hour show on how it is working behind the scenes, etc. I'm sure there's enough people to fill up some time to make up good SNV shows. As you said there are other obstacles that you guys deal with that we're unaware of so we can only make assumptions or ask for things based on what we know.

Fuck it, just give Ron Bennington another show, its more entertaining than hearing O&A bitch about management or suck off Jason Ellis.

so i'm assuming another secret show to the future (for part II) is out of the question... i'm guessing you can't have any more "funny juice" or as much of it for those shows, but who knows... that nite for BTTF was a huge show and there should be more of them.

I agree the live SNV shows have been fun, but understand it's tough
to get comics on a Saturday night. The other shows have been good
and I hope they can come back. Some of the prerecorded stuff is
decent but the live shows were always great because of the fan interaction.

What would be great is if the were able to get Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier to come in and do their long aspired call-in smodcast. They can do 3 hours and have Walt and Bryan come in, too. I think it would work great and since Kevin is in New York for the movie, he could do it after it wraps. I would love another Louis C.K. show because it was basically a 3 hour version of his act and his total lack of concern of how shit goes over is what makes him so great on O&A. But he hasn't been on O&A for awhile because of his tour. But now I'm rambling.
