All,

Tracked down the video for this on YouTube. They've played it so much I wanted to see what it was all about. Brilliant job by Paul Reubens (Pee Wee).

Mods- feel free to move this if need be.

I laugh like a retard everytime I see that video or hear the audio. I remember when it first aired a couple of years ago. My wife and I were watching it and we laughed our asses off. PeeWee fucking rules.

Found audio only on this site. You might need to create an account to get as a ringtone though. Someone else might have a better suggestion or way to go about this.

That episode of television is probably the shining example of a new show hitting its stride. You can just see the show going from funny to epic in a 22 minute period.

It's not that damn funny. Alec Baldwin's part was the only thing that even got a chuckle out of me from that scene.

It's amusing and I still get a chuckle out of how amused the boys get from it. But it's reaching "Dave Rabbit" levels of forcing a bit/concept down the listeners' throats.

Sort of like what they do with Sam on a daily basis.

Dave Rabbit was damn good radio for its time. It was interesting to listen to for its historical context. I can totally understand why Opie would like it.

And Sam is damn funny. How anyone could question that is just beyond me.

The wrestling act is becoming fucking infuriating. Not to mention, the kid's knowledge of wrestling is on par with Intern David's knowledge of Jewish history. I don't think he knows anything about that crap before 1997. His voice irrates me beyond belief (Prahm Tahm GESSSSSIPPP!). And I still haven't forgiven him for completely ruining Secret Show...to the Future, one of the greatest concepts in radio, with his inane, unfunny babbling.

Plus, if you have to constantly be reminded that someone is "such a little douche" or "such a fucking bastard", it seems incredibly forced.

As far as Dave Rabbit, it was a great find and was glad Opie brought it to the show as a true student of radio. But he pounded it into our heads for weeks before getting him on the show and I don't think the end result matched the insane amount of hype.

After the nonstop "Spidey" references and insisting wrestling was real (again), you're still going to defend Sam as damn funny?

After the nonstop "Spidey" references and insisting wrestling was real (again), you're still going to defend Sam as damn funny? I find Sam's childlike belief in wrestling's reality funny. He makes me want to believe in the Federal Investigations Commission.

That time being 30+ years ago. If I never hear Dave Rabbit again, I will die a happy man.

But I like Sam too. And his wrestling knowledge is actually pretty extensive; if anyone here's listened to the Ron & Fez show, he's beaten Fez something like three times in wrestling trivia, and he's covered 80s / early 90s wrestling knowledge too. I believe I could beat him, though.

As someone who unfortunately knows more about stupid fucking wrestling than he'd like to admit, trust me when I tell you that Sam knows as much about wrestling as Intern David knows about being Jewish.

He's constantly getting facts wrong on the show and I'm sure what he does know doesn't precede 1998. I've tried calling him out on the show using instant feedback but Opie never acknowledges my messages so it's a fruitless endeavor.

I tolerated Sam a lot more when he was just the intern in the background with the head full of candy and the diet of an 8-year-old. Since they've given him significant mic time and gone along with the "Sam's such a bastard" bit, I frequently get douchechills of the Rick variety.

Well Vyce mentioned that Sam is always right and beats Fez. I'm just letting him know that it doesn't mean much when Sam is wrong a lot about the thing he lives and dies for.

And that's a no to General Hospital. But I will admit to watching Grey's Anatomy. :puke:
