Our Beloved Show Is Back

I was one of the people who found O&A on XM. Without getting too wordy, it was the best entertainment show I EVER heard. Caught all the shows and couldn't wait for the replays. I hated the FM experiment. I was hopeful our beloved show would return when terresterial didn't want them anymore. Its been long enough; I can pass judgement.

The show is GREAT again, and has actually been even better since moving into Sirius. They have endless material on the shitty existence in the belly of the 21st century corporate beast. Love the pissed off Ant, Love the cranky Opie, adore the bitchy Jimmy. I actually enjoy the guests (and the guests have never been better). Tried Howie twice during the free week. Couldn't listen for more than half an hour (and I really tried). Welcome back gentlemen. I missed you

Ya, I was really starting to lose interest during the last days of the FM/XM combo. It seemed by the time they got to XM (after the walkover)...all they wanted to do is dabble with lazy interviewing with people at the studio.....that shit put me to sleep.


I am in love with the show again.

I still love the fact that Jeffery Ross called it. He said himself....your craft will benefit from the FM firing and the move to the Sirius studios. He was dead on.

Yesterday's interview with Forrest Griffin was great. While I'm not
happy with what Mel's done to the music stations, they have been
getting better guests and the show seems to flow much better lately.

The show has simply been rocking. Being able to work completely unfettered (well mostly) again has brought a constant stream of funny. And as much as I hate the ass ****** the boys are getting, sitting in that small aquarium at the suit hell has focussed them like a laser.

I liked the free FM days when it was happening, I supported the show and the host's pride in being on FM. That said, except for the 11AM end, the show is more gooder now.

I also think being at the Sirius fish bowl has been a blessing and a curse, how much of each varies daily.

I don't know if they did it back on their pre sat. days, but I think a great addition has been how they have one of the producers or kenny walk around and fuck with the other people at sirius. How many people love listening to these assholes just fuck with their co-workers in a cubicle farm and wish they could do it too. They couldn't do this at XM because they were basically alone there. Now with all those people in the same place as them, lots of people to annoy. Lets just hope sirius gets the bit and lets them go. A lot of people can identify with this and it really is funny as hell.

Even Hampton's Howie, as disassociated and insulated as he is, has still got to realize on some level that his star has faded to just about black, and his "fans" are turning on him like a pack of wild dogs.

The fact that Howie and O&A are sharing guests practically one-for-one/same day is what's got me all nervous and 'fraidy cat.

The O and A show was/is/always will be better than your audio turds, no one cares about what celebs you hang out with on the weekends (plus fridays), no one cares about your horse faced wife and her dumb fucking charity events she drags you to. they are much better as the underdogs and being on sterns floor creates that "try harder" attitude

Agreed. Show has been gold lately and even when they get tired after 10 (who can blame them) that is funny as they play off the "losing steam" thing. Makes for funny wrap up stuff.
