So i flipped over to it, and there he is doing the AT&T disabled operator bit. I know he's basically given up, but with all those assholes around him, can't any of them do anything more than simply listening to O&A clips and stealing from them?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of talk radio!. O&A, Stern, Bubba.. I'm not looking to rip on O&A here. From what I've read and heard about Steve Allen... I'd say he was the originator and everyone from Stern to Leno and Letterman are in his shadow.

You just can't go and spin everything O&A do when they're pointed out to have ripped someone off or don't have many listeners. This is a perfect example of what I'm trying to say. There would be no "Steve Allen" post here if nobody pointed out that Howard did the bit before O&A. Noone would say.. O&A are definitely the more "real" show, they'll be honest with you more than stern would ever be today.. I believe every negative thing they say about Howard Stern.. and i LOVE when they do.. it's rare that people call him out on things publicly.. I personally just find Stern to be funnier.

You can be a bigger fan of O&A's.. I disagree. I think O&A do care to some degree, as it has affected their career and censored their show. They have spent a lot of time in some PD's office getting scolded for daring to insult the sacred cow. As for Stern, he obviously cared enough to have a whole set of rules crafted and implemented to prevent other DJs from talking about him.

I work for a living, but definitely not struggling. I like my job, that's why I go there, and I feel no empathy for anyone who is miserable for eight hours every day, because they can't get a job they care about.
