The shows have been great lately, but I've rarely been dissatisfied anyway. The only thing I would change about the recent shows is the lack of comedians other than Vos. Patrice/Louis/Bawby/Colin/DiPaolo/Birbiglia/Mohr have all become strangers. I know they have their own things going on but at the old place they were better at cycling people in from week to week. I love the boys on their own but the comedians really mixed in a different flavor from day to day.

Patrice isn't a big fan of mornings, Louis tours like a mother fucker, Bobby is with Dane Cook on the road, Colin and DiPaolo were always sporadic guests at best, 95% of the fans hate Birbiglia and Jay Mohr hasn't been anything close to a regular since he moved to Cali. The only one really around all the time is Vos.

I actually prefer the show sans comedians. Patrice = instant change of the radio, and most of the other regulars (except Vos) really aren't that funny on the air. They certainly have a place on the show, but in smaller, limited quantities.

I'm guessing that they have to do other shows to plug their shows and fill their seats. It could be the just the economy and they have to spread themselves out more. They can't afford to do a whole morning with the boys when they could be hitting other radio stations. I remember Patrice and some of the others saying they had to cancel shows in some cities because they couldn't sell enough tickets. I guess part of it could be that the boys don't have the national audience they once did.

I start to miss Vos after several weeks and then he shows up and I am happy again for several weeks. They have his appearances just about right.
I like Patrice if he isn't allowed to run the show. When he is commenting on news or topics they bring up, and they keep him under control, he is fine every few months. When they let him start trying to talk his way through one of his theories, channel change time.
Jim Jeffries is great, so is Nick DiPaolo. Either of them should show up more often.

See thats why the world is so fun. Everyone's different. For me when its a patrice oniell show i make sure i listen to every minute. And when its a Vos show i usually tune out for large chunks. On rare times when its just Opie , Anthony, Vos, and no Jimmy = instant off button.
Vos is good in small doses ( "POE PAWS" and all) and maybe even all the reg comic guests would be best coming in for just the last half of the show instead of sitting in on the entire show.
Also please get Joe Rogan and Colin on more often when was the last time they were on?

Stop with the conspiracy shit. The simplest answer is usually right: Comics tour all over the country, O&A are still feeling out the new place, those 2 things combined have lead to less comics for the time being.

I can't fucking stand Joe Rogan, or for that matter Doug Stanhope. Rogan and his "I don't care if you have a master's degree and work in this field for a living, I went on the internet!!!!!!" basis for being smarter than anyone who disagrees with him has that all too douchey ring of a conspiracy theorist about it.

Yeah, I know. Like when Opie was recounting his confrontation with Artie, and he kept telling Ant, "I know if you were there you would have been right there with me", you just know that Ant was thinking "yeah, right. Like I'm going to forget how you treated me over my grape snacks? I'm with Artie on this one."
Can we stop being overly judgemental asses for five seconds? The first few days after the fight were tense and frankly uncomfortable. Judging by the stellar radio and chemistry they've exhibited since then, it's safe to assume they've put that behind them.

What the fuck does this mean. The show has been fucking great lately. If they "don't like each other" as you say, then I don't think you can fake your way through that.
They had just been fired from FM when the fight happened which had to have been tough on them. Have you never been in a fight or argument with someone because you were in a bad mood. You don't go on for ever hating each other, especially someone you've been with for 14 years.
I think Opie twitterring and Ants live from the compound has helped as well cause it lets them do their own thing also.

Comics generally don't make the show "better." Each comic brings something different to the table but the show is good with or without some of the great comics that come in.
Aside from the obvious (ie- these guys have shows to do and don't always have time to stop in and promote them), also consider how many more guests O&A have brought in recently. Not saying the guests are better or worse but they may be finding it harder given the studio space, or lack there of.
Whatever the reason is the show has been outstanding lately.

Not only comedian guests, how about NO guests period. During the short "Memorial Day" week, the only guest they could book was "Vinnie Brand" on that Friday? Last week they had three pretty good guests with Griffin on Monday, Frazier on Tuesday, and B. Hogan on Wednesday.....but nothing since then. I felt all of those interviews were pretty good (Griffin was just a smart ass but pretty funny, Frazier was a little long but goofy fun, and Hogan was short but she didn't hold back much and kind of rolled with everything)
I noticed that Hoo Hoo had Francis Ford Coppola in studio on Monday. I wonder if O&A were even offered him...stupid question...of course not. Are they now being blocked from having Howard's guests?
I kind of assumed that since they were in the Sirius building that they would have daily walk ins but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Sorry, just venting. Not trying to be negative, just wondering if they are now being blackballed in the booking department.

Chris Rock is considered by some people to be one of the top comics of all time. He also has a pre-existing relationship with Howard. (although they did have him on when they were at CBS).

Pretty sure the comic who had one crappy appearance and will never come back was Pablo Francisco who absolutely stunk on XM and Ant was going crazy with his awful he was while he was in studio.

anyway back on topic, I love patrice on the show, pretty much no one makes me laugh as much as him on the show, but the other 'regulars like burr bobby louis ck and vos are all great in general. I never feel like any of them hijack the show. I think that O&A know what's good radio and would cut someone off if someone was taking over. I know some of you have said you hate the marc maron divorce stuff but for some reason I'm completely captivated when he's on, even though it's just rehashing it i'm dying laughing.

DiPaolo and Quinn are always must-listen shows, for me. And trash Birbiglia all you like, but anytime he and Vos are together, Vos goes into attack mode, which is usually good for a lot of great material and some truly cringe-worthy bombs. DiPaolo-Vos-Birbiglia vs. Leslie Neilsen remains one of the classic phone interviews they've done in years. Having Saget on is great, though it's a shame he lives in L.A. and rarely appears in-studio.
