It's interesting to hear everyone's experience with technology. For every person that likes the BB Storm, there's someone else out there who hates it. Same thing with the iPhone.

Is there ANY piece of technology (phone, TV, etc) that almost universally is accepted as "good"? The closest thing I could think of is OOMA (that VOIP service that eliminates your home phone bill). Anyone that I know has it swears by it.

But I'm sure someone bought that shit and hates it or had a bad experience. Being a consumer is brutal when you think about it. That's why I love Jimmy's honest, funny rants about this kind of stuff. I can relate.

At first I was not to sure about the phone, it took a little geting used to but now I couldn't think of using another phone. The upgrade really made a huge difference for me as far as navigating through the phone menus and everything. I'm interested to see what they'll come out with next year as the 2nd gen Storm.

Second. When you sign up for a cell. You have to sign a contract. So he would be locked into ATT and the iphone no matter what. Plus isnt jimmy doing something about it. He is advising people of his shitty service with ATT.

The reason Jimmy complains about the iPhone is because for as much praise as it gets, it lacks the basic features that my $50 phone has like pic. messaging and video. It started off as a $500 phone. Not at all, it was just annoying to hear "kicked offline", with people asking is he using 3G or WIFI to fix the problem when it was nothing to do with that, it was more likely the shitty websites making Safari crash...same shit happens with my iPod Touch every so often, but I got mine free with a cell phone contract so I can't complain.

I'm a Mac user that bought a BB Storm due to the fact that I have no interest in dealing with the fucktwads over at AT&T. I've dealt with them in the past and they suck a bag of limp dicks.

If the iPhone had been available on Verizon when I got my Storm, I probably would have gone with the iPhone. Having the BB for 6 months now, and having friends with the iPhone? Glad things broke the way they did. Nothing beats a BlackBerry for keeping in touch with everything. Push e-mail, MMS, and the Verizon network.

Is the Storm a generation or two behind the iPhone? Sure, but Apple had better watch out, the competition is nipping at their heels, and AT&T's data backbone isn't the best.

my iphone is great. so you have to email pics instead of texting. you get used to it plus you can email as many pics to people as you want and not just how many text messages you are allloted every month.
