Don't fix Big Ben's TV....
Unless you want to have forced sex, according to Andrea McNulty.

ALLEGEDLY!

Roethlisberger denies civil allegations of sexual assault

In a complaint that reads like the **** allegations made several years ago against NBA star Kobe Bryant, Harrah's employee Andrea McNulty alleges sexual assault against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in a lawsuit filed last week in Washoe County, Nevada.

But lawyer David Cornwell strongly denied the allegations Monday night, in a statement released to PFT. "Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty," Cornwell said.

In the civil suit, which Cornwell confirms was served on Roethlisberger over the weekend and a copy of which our own Gregg Rosenthal has obtained, McNulty alleges that Roethlisberger asked her to come to his hotel room to fix the television, and that he thereafter forced her to have sex with him.

Roethlisberger faces one civil count of assault, one civil count of sexual assault and battery, one civil count of false imprisonment, one civil count of false pretenses, one civil count of fraud, and one civil count of intentonal infliction of emtional distress.

McNulty also claims that the coworkers named in the complaint thereafter defamed her by making allegedly false and inflammatory statements, and by allegedly serving as aiders and abettors of Roethlisberger's alleged misconduct after the fact.

Cornwell, a finalist for the position of NFLPA Executive Director who has represented in the recent past Saints running back Reggie Bush and Browns receiver Donte' Stallworth, points to the fact that no criminal complaint has been filed, and that no criminal investigation has occurred.

"The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct," Cornwell said. "If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated."

It's unknown at this point whether McNulty ever has attempted to file criminal charges as a result of the incident, which allegedly occurred in July 2008.

"Ben will not be baited into a public discussion about his personal life, but we will defend
him vigorously," Cornwell said. "The limited value that Ms. McNulty derived from public disclosure of these viciously false allegations is the only value she will ever receive from Ben in this case."

Regardless of how this one turns out, it has the potential to serve as a significant distraction for Roethlisberger as the 2009 season approaches, especially if the lawsuit triggers a criminal probe.

UPDATE: Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett told WTAE late Monday night, "We are aware of the allegations but cannot comment on the specifics of the case. We've been told Ben's side of the story and we fully support him at this time."

Roethlisberger listed as defendant in Nev. lawsuit

(AP) – 4 hours ago

RENO, Nev. — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by a woman in Nevada.

According to online court records, a defamation lawsuit was filed in Washoe County on Friday. Andrea McNulty is listed as the plaintiff.

Details of the suit were not available late Monday night. Roethlisberger was one of nine defendants listed in the online court docket report.

Roethlisberger's attorney released a statement to several media outlets Monday night saying the two-time Super Bowl winner was accused of sexual assault in the lawsuit by McNulty. Atlanta-based attorney David Cornwell denied Roethlisberger sexually assaulted McNulty.

"This weekend Andrea McNulty served Ben Roethlisberger with a civil complaint accusing him of sexually assaulting her in July 2008. Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty. The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct. If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated," Cornwell said.

A phone message and e-mail from the AP to Cornwell were not immediately returned.

Attorney Calvin R. Dunlap, of Reno, filed the suit, according to court documents. A telephone message left for him was not immediately returned.

Hahaha. Great line.

I find it odd that he would ask some hot chick to come fix his tv. This is probably like the Tyson/Kobe case. She wanted some famous cock and then decided to try and sue after.

This is a pathetic attempt to get some money and fame. Whatever lawyer filed this horse shit should be disbarred. No criminal charges and a year gone by and now she wants to claim she was assaulted? This is just stupid. I hope Ben turns around and sues the shit out of this whore.

This woman waits one year....something isn't right. Here's my crazy theory. One of the Steelers rivals, or maybe even non-rivals, paid her to make these accusations.

The thing is if this accusation turns out to be false, it only makes it more difficult for women to be believed when sexual assaults actually happen.

That whole story reads some like some 10th grade girl's English project. It's all bullshit. I still say she wanted some Super Bowl winning cock, got it, and then felt guilty and/or greedy and cried foul. I hope she gets nothing out of this but a load on her belly.

Roethlisberger better not pay this woman anything. She is just out for money, no different than Rev A or Jessie Jackson.

The only way to make them go away is to never pay them.

I have a problem with this too. First of all if she was THAT upset, I would think the incident would have been reported shortly after it happened. Also, I think this woman has mental issues that existed a long time prior to the alledged sexual assault. I bet she's hoping to get money to pay medical expenses.

Women like this just make it more difficult for real **** victims to get the justice they deserve.

I think this woman should be thrown into the general population of a maximum security state penn for a week, so she'll know what it means to be sexually assaulted.

Its going to get to the point where the rich and famous are just going to have to record all of the sexual contacts, so there will be proof that a **** didn't occur, or they are just going to have to limit their sexual contacts to spouses, steady GFs / BFs, and professionals.

Just heard on ESPN that a former co-worker of the woman said that the woman was "Bragging about having "been with" Ben Roethlisberger"

From today's newspaper. She's nothing but a slut looking for money. Ben should turn around and sue her .

Roethlisberger accuser allegedly bragged about sex

RENO, Nev. - The woman suing quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for alleged sexual assault has been accused of bragging about having consensual sex with him to a co-worker.

Angela Antonetti said the woman who made the **** claim "did not appear to be upset, stressed-out or nervous" about her time with the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback during a 2008 celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe, according to court documents filed late Friday.

Antonetti said her Harrah's hotel-casino co-worker "appeared happy and boastful," and later said she thought she might be pregnant from the encounter. Antonetti made the remarks in a sworn statement attached to a motion to move the case from Reno to Minden, Nev.

"Rather than indicating that she was afraid or apprehensive about this, (the woman) expressed to me that she was hoping for a 'little Roethlisberger," said Antonetti, who worked with her at Harrah's between 2006 and 2009.

Lawyer Cal Dunlap, who represents the woman, declined to comment Saturday.

"We'll just deal with it in the lawsuit," he said.

In her lawsuit, the 31-year-old Nevada woman says she was working as a VIP hostess during the tournament when the two-time Super Bowl winner ***** her in a hotel penthouse across the street from the golf course , a claim he vehemently denies.

She also alleges Harrah's officials orchestrated a cover-up, and worked to silence her and undermine her credibility rather than investigate her claims.

But the motion, filed by Roethlisberger's Nevada lawyer John Echeverria, says her claims were an attempt to exploit his celebrity status and secure an "extortionate payday."

Antonetti said the woman's emotional collapse had nothing to do with a **** but resulted from a failed relationship with a married man and then a long-distance relationship that turned out to be a hoax.

Antonetti claims the woman became "very emotionally distraught" afterward, and took a leave of absence from Harrah's.

Antonetti says she wanted "to set the record straight" after hearing about the claims against Roethlisberger.

Gotta admire Ben's sticktoitiveness.

Lawyer: We'll drop suit if Steelers QB admits ****

Sep 9, 12:53 AM (ET)

RENO, Nev. (AP) - A former Nevada casino worker who has accused Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of sexually assaulting would drop her civil lawsuit if he acknowledged the **** and apologized, her attorney said.

Reno-based attorney Cal Dunlap wrote in a letter to Roethlisberger's lawyers that his client would also like the quarterback to donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a Reno nonprofit organization that offers support to domestic violence victims.

Roethlisberger's lawyer, David Cornwell, said Tuesday they wouldn't accept her offer.

Dunlap said the proposal is designed to counter claims made by Roethlisberger's lawyers that his client only filed the lawsuit to get money from the Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Her only interest "has been and is to regain the dignity that was taken from her," Dunlap said in a motion that asking the letter be added to the court record.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported on Dunlap's letter on its Web site Tuesday. Dunlap didn't return telephone and e-mail messages left by The Associated Press on Tuesday night.

The woman, a VIP casino hostess, filed the civil suit against Roethlisberger in July, claiming he ***** her in 2008 in a hotel penthouse across the street from a golf course where he was playing in a celebrity tournament.

The woman has said she reported the incident to security at Harrah's Lake Tahoe but never filed a criminal complaint because she feared Harrah's would side with Roethlisberger and she would be fired. She also accused Harrah's officials of orchestrating a cover-up.

The suit seeks a minimum of $440,000 in damages from Roethlisberger, at least $50,000 in damages from the eight Harrah's officials named as defendants and an unspecified amount of punitive damages.

The AP, as a matter of policy, does not identify people who say they have been sexually assaulted.

Roethlisberger and his lawyers deny the woman's allegations. They demanded in an Aug. 19 settlement letter that she drop the lawsuit and write a letter of apology to the NFL star.

In return, Roethlisberger would release both the woman and Dunlap from any legal liability stemming from the "conspiracy to extort and defame" him.

Those demands have been rejected by the woman, Dunlap said in his letter.

Looks like the lying twat is trying to get out this bullshit lawsuit without having to admit she made it all up. I'm glad Ben and his lawyers are sticking with it and not just trying to make it go away by any means possible. Every day that passes is one day closer to this whore having to take a stand and perjure herself.
