I don't know if I'm ready for another season with this team. Still, I do have some expectations with a brand new (supposedly great) OL. We have a decent back if B-West gets hurt (which is more than likely). A younger Defense should help them, even with the loss of Dawk. Fuck it, they have pulled me back in again.

Jackson just hyper extended his knee. He seems to be fine though. Thank God, because an injury to him would be detrimental to the team's season.
http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/Ingram_suffers_torn_ACL.html
DeSean Jackson hyperextended his right knee when he got tangled up with cornerback Asante Samuel during the morning workout. The wide receiver immediately went to a tent to receive treatment and was eventually carted off the field.
He told reporters after practice that he was fine. The team didn't give a prognosis on when Jackson would return.
"I'm all right," Jackson said, offering a thumbs up. "No problems."
Reid also said he thought Jackson would be fine following the afternoon practice.
"He's all right," the coach said. "They just banged knees."
Jackson has had a phenomenal camp, but today's setback could limit his preparation for Thursday's preseason opener against the New England Patriots. He did not take part in the special teams practice.

Ingram suffers torn ACL (http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/inq-eagles/Ingram_suffers_torn_ACL.html)
http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/06Bb5px7Sd3OO/261x.jpgBETHLEHEM, Pa. -- For the second straight year, tight end Cornelius Ingram's season is over before it started.
The Eagles' fifth-round pick from the University of Florida suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a goal-line drill Tuesday. The extent of the injury was revealed during an MRI examination this morning.
It is the same knee and the same injury that cost Ingram his final season at the University of Florida last year at almost the exact same time.
"It was in a goal-line drill," coach Andy Reid said. "He just hyperextended it and it popped on him. Obviouslsy it's a shame for the kid. He's a great kid and he's worked hard. He was doing some good things."
Earlier in the day, Ingram said he couldn't talk about the injury and that "he hoped to be back for the afternoon practice."
Down to just two healthy tight ends -- starter Brent Celek and undrafted rookie Eugene Bright -- the Eagles signed undrafted rookie Rob Myers this afternoon. Myers, 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, was originally signed by the New York Jets after the draft but released in late May. After catching 21 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns as a junior, he missed his entire senior season with a turf toe injury. To make room on the roster, the Eagles released punter Ken Parrish.
Ingram is the second Eagles player in less than a week to suffer a season-ending torn ACL. Middle linebacker Stewart Bradley tore his right ACL during Sunday's practice at Lincoln Financial Field.

Jackson has had a phenomenal camp, but today's setback could limit his preparation for Thursday's preseason opener against the New England Patriots. He did not take part in the special teams practice.
In other injury news, guard Stacy Andrews (knee) and tackle Jason Peters (quadriceps) were back in full pads. They did not partake in live hitting, however. Andrews took a day of rest on Thursday. Peters had been working out with the training staff.
Running back Brian Westbrook (ankle), defensive end Victor Abiamiri (pectoral muscle) and defensive tackle Trevor Laws (hamstring) continued to rehab with the team's trainers. Shawn Andrews (back) remained out.

Kolb hurt himself too. From Philly.com:
Monday, August 10, 2009
Kolb has MCL sprain; Cole AC shoulder sprain
BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Backup Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb has an MCL sprain in his left knee and will miss Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots. Defensive end Trent Cole has an AC shoulder sprain and will also sit out the game. Both players will then be listed as day-to-day.
To read about what happened to the two Eagles today at training camp, click here.
Also, according to a team source, wide receiver Brandon Robinson was cut from the team just after the afternoon special teams practice here at training camp. The move was likely made to make room for a new quarterback. The team will probably bring in a camp body (paging Adam DiMichele ...) until Kolb returns.
Those calls for Michael Vick and Brett Farve were a tad presumptuous, although understandable considering the injury plague that has swept through Eagles camp.
UPDATE: That didn't take long. Apparently, the Eagles have signed a new quarterback -- Arena League QB Matt Nagy.

08-14-2009, 01:48 AM
I think part of the signing has to do with the fact that the Eagles wanted some headlines for themselves. Lately, the Philies have been getting a lot more coverage. That has to piss off Lurie and Banner so they decided to make a controversial decision (Don't get me wrong, it helps the team too) which was guaranteed to make headlines.

Other than Pey Pey slicing our defense up like a turkey on Thanksgiving Night? There is just something with the elder Manning. He always has the number of the Eagles. Maybe, it's because he thrives on the blitz and the Eagles defense lives on it. Still, that is no excuse for blown assignments (I'm looking at you Ellis Hobbs).
Things on the offensive side were pretty depressing too. They better get those probable starting O-Linemen healthy, because the Line today fucking blew. They could barely push people off the line for runs, and the pass protection wasn't adequate either.

WR Cut coming down to Reggie Brown or Hank Baskett. Beginning of preseason I would've gone the other way but I think you cut Hank Baskett. He can go Kendra it up, Reggie Brown has made a few catches for significant yards, and not dropping balls in the endzone that're hitting him in the hands.
HA-HA

That guy they picked in the 6th round (?) looks better. Even in the end game on a short pass from Kevin Kolb he caught a ridiculously hard pass and dragged his feet to stay in bounds. Every preseason game hes looked good. If I could remember his name it'd help.

Philadelphia Inquirer thinks Baskett makes it and the final spot is between Brown and Gibson. I agree with MmD and Kugz. I think Gibson should be a shoo-in and the final spot between Baskett and Brown. I think Brown's career has been a disappointment.
Wide receiver. DeSean Jackson, Kevin Curtis, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, and Hank Baskett will make the team, leaving veteran Reggie Brown and rookie Brandon Gibson to battle for the final spot. The guess here is that Gibson wins that battle and Brown is traded to Baltimore, the New York Jets, or Dallas.

I can see a trade. Reggie has more trade value then Baskett. They still think Baskett can do those specialty plays, either of them will be picked up by another team. Which is insane to say thinking about Donovans WR's his first season. I think in a different system, Reggie Brown can do more with another team then he did with the Eagles, but dropping a #1 pick (#2?) is hard. Baskett wasnt even drafted, and if you cant catch a floater in the end zone, your thinking about big fake white tits too much.

Its time to bring Jon Runyan back. That offensive line is scaring me. It went from being called the best line in football by NFL.com and ESPN to just .... wow. Why is Winston Justice still on the team?
That Kick Returner / WR they have impressed me (#11, forget his name) , Gibson had another good game at WR.
Linebackers are scaring me too, losing Bradley is really hurting them. I realize last night was all 2nd and 3rd string guys but you see how low their depth is at Linebacker and Safety.
Hoping for Jason Babin to get a spot, he's a playmaker at DE.
Christ they've got Reggie brown listed as Jacksons backup.

A.J. Feeley released
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/inq-eagles/Feeley_released.html
Feeley released; claim DT off waivers
The Eagles released quarterback A.J. Feeley to make room for a defensive tackle they claimed off waivers, a team source told The Inquirer today.
The team signed Antonio Dixon, a 6-foot-3, 322-pounder let go by the Redskins yesterday. Dixon was an undrafted free agent out of Miami, where he wasn't a full-time starter.
The Eagles kept Feeley on their roster as of final cuts last night at 6 p.m. But it was expected that the team did so because they hoped to trade the 32-year-old backup. Apparently, a deal could not be struck so the Eagles parted ways with Feeley, who had two stints in Philadelphia.
Feeley, as a vested veteran, doesn't have to pass through waivers. He can sign with any team of his choosing. The Patriots look like a certain fit. New England only has only two quarterbacks at the moment -- Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer, a rookie out of Michigan State.
Michael Vick, meanwhile, will remain on the commissioner's special exempt list, although that could change at any moment.
Back with more.

Very true, when Winston Justice is one of your starting O-Linemen, you are not exactly giving me a lot of confidence. I think Peppers might wreck havoc within the the Eagles backfield today unless the Eagles run the ball the majority of times, which is not something I think Andy will do even when it is logical.
Nevertheless, I'm awake and all psyched up for the Birds to start their season.

Did I miss anything on Runyan? I haven't seen an update. Yes, I know he is old in NFL terms and recovering from an injury, but I would take him with one leg over Winston Justice. I have zero faith that Pyscho Big Kid Shawn EDID Andrews will be worth shit this year.
I am very anxious to see them in a real game, but nothing in pre-season gave me much hope. This offense should score points, as long as the QB has some time... uh oh.
On the other side, I am not a Gaither fan, but hopefully he is serviceable. The Bradley loss really hurts. I was even less a fan of Demps, so I hope Macho can play.
Regardless, 3 hours and 42 minutes until this shit counts!

Yeah, maybe letting Feeley go wasn't such a good idea. The way this O line looks, they'll need 6 QB's on the roster, since they'll probably be driven to the turf every other play.
Nevertheless, I'm awake and all psyched up for the Birds to start their season.

Macho Harris is the first rookie safety to start for the Eagles Week 1 since Wes Hopkins on Sept. 3, 1983 at San Francisco.
The last rookie safety to start the opener before Hopkins was Randy Logan on Sept. 16, 1973 vs. St. Louis.
Harris is the first rookie defensive player to start for the Eagles since Sept. 3, 2000, when defensive tackle Corey Simon opened the season against Dallas.
Sheldon Brown had as many interceptions in the first half (two) as in his previous 30 games. It’s his first month with two picks since December 2005, when he had interceptions against the Cardinals and Giants.
DeSean Jackson’s 85-yard punt return for a touchdown is the second longest in team history. Vai Sikahema had an 87-yarder against the Giants on Nov. 22, 1992.
Victor Abiamiri’s interception not only was the first of his career but also the first of his life. Abiamiri said he didn’t have a pick in pee-wee football, high school or college.
The Eagles scored a touchdown on offense, defense and special teams for the first time since Dec. 24, 1994 at Cincinnati.
The seven takeaways are the Eagles' most since the 1999 season, when they ended the regular season with seven on Jan. 2, 2000 against St. Louis. The five picks are their most since Sept. 30, 1996, when they had five against Dallas.
The team record is 12 (at Pittsburgh in 1965 and at Cardinals in 1950). The Eagles forced eight on Oct. 15, 1989 against St. Louis.

McNabb doubtful for Sunday
CHARLOTTE -- Donovan McNabb fractured his rib in the Eagles' otherwise celebratory 38-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers today. Head coach Andy Reid didn't give a prognosis on whether McNabb would miss any time, although a team source said that the Eagles quarterback was "doubtful" for next Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Asked if it was safe to say that McNabb was out for next week, Reid said, "No, that's not safe to say."
McNabb apparently suffered his injury when he was tackled while plunging into the end zone on a three-yard touchdown run. He laid on the ground for a while, finally arose and walked off without assistance. He soon left the field to get examined. McNabb returned in his pads, but did not return to the game.
Reid said that McNabb was out there in case of emergency. Kevin Kolb replaced McNabb, but the Eagles didn't have another quarterback dressed.
"That's why he was out there," Reid said. "I probably would have done everything not to do that. That's why we took his pads off there at the end."
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson confirmed that he was the emergency quarterback if Kolb got hurt, too. Jackson took a few direct snaps in the Wildcat formation today.
Reid said he was confident that Kolb, if need be, would step in and do the the job.
"If it comes to that," Reid said.
Michael Vick will be serving the second game of his two-game suspension next week. He will be reinstated by Week 3. Kolb was ineffective filling for McNabb. He completed 7 of 11 passes for just 23 yards. He was also sacked twice.
The Eagles cut quarterback A.J. Feeley last week. He has not caught on with another team as of yet.

Eagles-Panthers report card
Here is our report card from today's Eagles-Panthers game:
RUSH OFFENSE: Brian Westbrook, who didn’t play a down in the preseason following ankle surgery, rushed for 64 yards, including 45 on seven carries in the first half. DeSean Jackson rushed for 33 yards, 25 of it on an end-around and the other 8 out of the Wildcat. Grade: A-minus
PASS OFFENSE: Donovan McNabb averaged just 4.4 yards per attempt before he got hurt, but collected a pair of TD passes. He misfired on an early-third-quarter interception when he failed to get a pass to a wide-open Kevin Curtis over the head of middle linebacker Jon Beason. Grade: C-minus
RUN DEFENSE: The Panthers rushed for 55 yards on 10 carries on their first possession, including an 11-yard cutback run by DeAngelo Williams for a touchdown. But the Eagles shut the door after that, holding Carolina to 31 rushing yards on 20 attempts the rest of the game. Grade: A
PASS DEFENSE: The Eagles’ aggressive pass rush terrorized three Carolina QBs, notched five sacks and helping force five interceptions. They chased starter Jake Delhomme midway through the third quarter after a dreadful 7-for-17, four-interception effort. Grade: A-plus
SPECIAL TEAMS: DeSean Jackson had an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter that gave the Eagles a 17-7 lead. David Akers had a 51-yard field goal attempt blocked and sent a late-second quarter kickoff out of bounds, and the punt-coverage unit gave up a 26-yard return. Grade: B-minus
OVERALL: The offense finished with just 267 yards and converted only five of 13 third-down opportunities. But the defense came up big, forcing seven turnovers in Sean McDermott’s debut as defensive coordinator. Grade: B-minus

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/10070408/Source:-Eagles-add-former-backup-QB-Garcia
The Eagles moved quickly Monday in securing a safety net at quarterback.
One day after starter Donovan McNabb suffered a broken rib during Philadelphia's season-opening win against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles have agreed to terms with veteran QB Jeff Garcia, FOXSports.com has learned.
The Eagles honed in on Garcia quickly because he is familiar with the team and coach Andy Reid's offense. Garcia previously filled for an injured McNabb down the stretch during the 2006 season, going 5-1 as a starter in the final six games to rally the Eagles to the NFC East title. The Eagles eventually lost in the NFC divisional round, falling to Philadelphia's opponent this week, Drew Brees and the Saints.
Garcia was available after being a surprising late roster cut by the Oakland Raiders the week before the NFL's opening weekend. The 39-year-old Garcia had signed a free-agent deal with Oakland in early April after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose not to re-sign him this offseason.
Garcia has played 10 seasons in the NFL, reaching the Pro Bowl four times and throwing for 25,537 yards, 161 TD passes and 83 interceptions.
Jeff Garcia returns!!! Hopefully, we will have have better results than the last time he played the Saints.
Yes, I'm still bitter over that playoff loss in New Orleans.

I do believe thats a better alternative then Kolb. Even when Vick is eligible, he still won't be ready. Hopefully Garcia will be able to just run the offense enough to get by until D-Mac gets back.

Saw ths coming a mile away, Kolb is a bust. He had tons of time to show what he can do with no pressure whatsoever and couldn''t even get them in fieldgoal range. I figured it would be Garcia or Feeley, needed a vet who knows the system. Garcia fits in perfectly. I seriously doubt Vick will be in game shape, so give the ball to Garcia, keep Kolb at #2 and Vick at #3 until McNabb is 100% then dump 1 of them.

Kolb will need to have a huge day to keep the fans from calling for Garcia
If Garcia comes into the game, how do they keep Kolb around?
If he has to get pulled, is that the final admission that he is a bust?
Garcia has only worn #5 and #7 in his career. Neither is available now. Not sure why I care about that, but I did check the Eagles website to see what his number would be. The depth chart isn't updated yet.

File this under "No fucking Heart for the Game!" :mad4:
So much for waiting around to see when Shawn Andrews is healthy enough to play. The Eagles placed Andrews on Injured Reserve, ending his 2009 season. It also likely raises question marks about Andrews and his future in the game.
Despite receiving medical clearance from back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins late in the summer, Andrews was unable to overcome back pain to get on the field in the days leading up to the opening game of the regular season in Carolina. Andrews missed the entire training camp and the preseason after tweaking his surgically-repaired back during the conditioning tests upon reporting to Lehigh University and didn't start practicing again until just before the final preseason game against the Jets.
He appeared, as of a week ago, ready to play right tackle against Carolina. But Andrews missed practice on the Thursday before the game and then was ruled out for the game on Friday. Clearly, head coach Andy Reid felt the team couldn't wait any longer for Andrews to get healthy and placed him on IR on Tuesday morning.
The Eagles needed to make room on the roster for newly-signed quarterback Jeff Garcia and Andrews was the one who went -- to IR.
Now you wonder when and if and how Andrews fits into the long-term picture here. He played just two games in 2008 before suffering a back injury in the first half of the game against Dallas. The Eagles waited all season to see if Andrews could recover in time for the playoffs, but the patience was not rewarded and Andrews ultimately had surgery.
Now, with injuries dotting the early-season roster and with a glut of decisions to be made, the Eagles decided to put Andrews on the shelf rather than cut from the current roster.
Winston Justice started at right tackle on Sunday and is now, clearly, the starting right tackle for this football team.

Avant did his usual "I just caught a 20 yard pass and got hammered for a 1st down" routine , he's a part of this team. Maclin seems to be running around not knowing where to go. Baskett got a 4 yard pass I think. Maclin will have to earn his way into steady play, Mccoy did, he didnt.

Brown was saved because the Eagles screwed up and kept him too long
They're responsible for his full salary, so even though he sucks, they won't cut him
I think Baskett will end up in Carolina with A.J.
As for Avant, I'm a fan. He does nothing amazingly. But, he has good hands, will go over the middle and has some size. He has a role.
Maclin screwed up not being in camp. He'll play, but he'll be worked in. And, two or three pre-season fumbles took him out of the kick/punt returner role. And, after DeSean's punt return, even though they'd prefer not to use him there, they can't not.
Did I mention that Bigkid73, EDID, Heartless Shawn sucks ass?

Andrews is and may as we speak be getting certified into another hospital. It wont be the the first time for the 2 time pro bowler in only his first 4 years? 5 with an injury? You bring his GODDAMN brother who probably has been like "I've been dealing with this for 30 years" and his college roommate because he's that good. He doesnt like sports. He's an athlete , and alot of guys arent athletes that would die to be in that position. He's an athlete that doesnt like the game, Ricky Williams right there.
WR we had 7. Baskett was safe coming into this season, he had a horrible preseason, all the fire he had is gone. The long play to him is gone. He was undrafted and made it 3 years in the NFL. Eagles tried to trade him this morning, no takers on him or brown. Baskett has that "Red zone something" show on NFL network, and they show him in slow motion dropping a ball in the end zone.
Thats kinda the roundup of his career. He grabbed silicone though. Props

Right now they are happy with Winston at RT ...but McGlynn is the backup :icon_eek:. Jon wants big $$$ and he wants to start. I can't see him accepting even a rotation and for that matter can't imagine the Eagles FO signing him for a large sum. Also, Jon's year last year really was NOT very good. Even before he got hurt he was giving up sacks and was NOT the same player we all recall.
Bottom line...if he can come in cheap and be willing to work behind Justice...is the only way I see this happening. Sorry fans.

Is everyone ready for the beginning of the Kevin Kolb era?
Could be ugly
I actually think (hope) he'll do a serviceable job
limit his mistakes, move the ball a little
and pray the defense can limit Brees
It could be a long day, but if the defense can be strong
it should be a decent game
and I was kidding about the Kolb era
I can't see him ever being the long term starter
He could prove me wrong
Let's hope he starts doing so tomorrow

I don't think Kolb is as bad as some people make him out to be. He will be serviceable tomorrow especially against the atrocious Saints defense. However, if the game turns out to be a shootout (which is what I expect) then I don't expect him to win it for us.
What Andy needs to do is run the football and let the defense do its job. Westbrook's ankle looked fine last week. It's time to test the aforementioned ankle by putting the load of the offense on him. He should have more than 30 touches whether it's runs or those screen passes that Andy is so fond of running.
The Eagles need to get first downs so they can sustain drives and chew the clock. Brees can't hurt you from the bench, and he has an even lesser chance doing it against a defense that is rested.

Eagles worked out Trotter today:
Eagles confirm working out Trotter
The Eagles confirmed that they worked out former linebacker Jeremiah Trotter today at the NovaCare Complex. Trotter last played two seasons ago for Tampa Bay.
There was an initial report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The former Pro Bowler played for the Eagles over two stints, from 1998-2001 and from 2004-06. Trotter was cut just before the 2007 season when the team decided to go with Omar Gaither at middle linebacker. Gaither is currently in the middle after Stewart Bradley was lost for the season when he tore his ACL during training camp.
Joe Mays was given every shot to claim the job, but he failed to put his stamp on the spot and Gaither was handed the starting position. Gaither has nine tackles, a half a sack and fumble recovery through two games. Mays missed the first game with a shoulder sprain but is back practicing.
Trotter was selected to the Pro Bowl four times (2001, 2002, 2004, 2005). He has recently been a talk radio host on (610) WIP-AM.

funny you should say that.
My point exactly.
Jaworski sucked
Cunninham sucked
McNabb sucks
A better Qb would of brought us a bowl in the Cunningham days, He was an amazing athelete, just not bright enough to be quarterback.
Mcnabb might be smart enough, almost.. not a good Qb, cant pass accurately. Never could. Gets hot spells but never can count on him, especially in a big game.
Jaws, jesus whole team shoulda been fired.
All these Bums enjoyed LONG stays with the eagles.... WHY?
Understand this...WINS = WINNERS
The eagles had some great football teams... IMO the QB has always been the Anchor holding us down.
Stats mean nothing to me... WINS matter.
Winners , win.

BB pretty much summed it up. The amount of penalties were unacceptable, but that was the only the problem with the birds in this game.
The offense looked spectacular, but they have to run the ball more. Yeah, I realize it's beating a dead horse, but the differential between the TOP was far too much. Against a better team, if the Defense has to stay out out there for that amount of time, they won't be effective.
Oh and it's nice to see McNabb look healthy and make good throws.

McNabb looked great, I agree.
Hell, if they only use Vick to rest McNabb and keep him healthy down the stretch it was worth it.
It looks like the Eagles player development strategy is working well - with the exception of TO (who provided a valuable lesson in sticking to their plan) the Eagles strategy has been to draft well and develop talent from within (as opposed to a Redskins-like free agency period).
When they got rid of TO they had chances to take other whiny annoying receivers but didn't.
Now, look how great Maclin and Jackson are starting to gel. Celek gives them a legit option over the middle and is good enough to take pressure off of Westbrook AND the receivers.
Celek - 3rd year
Jackson - 2nd year
Maclin - Rookie
That's a scary future for the other NFC teams.

Reid: Witherspoon brought in to be middle linebacker
The Eagles acquired linebacker Will Witherspoon from St. Louis for wide receiver Brandon Gibson and a fifth-round pick in 2010.
Today is the NFL trading deadline and the Eagles clearly had a need at linebacker. Gibson looked good in training camp but has not been playing.
Andy Reid was clear about his intentions for Witherspoon, "I'm bringing [Witherspoon] in here to be my MIKE linebacker."
The moves comes on the heels of a rough performance by Jeremiah Trotter against the Raiders and Omar Gaither’s foot injury, although Gaither indicated that he did not think he was seriously hurt. Reid said Gaither will see a foot specialist.
Witherspoon, in his eighth season out of Georgia, sustained injuries to his hip and back in Sunday’s overtime loss at Jacksonville. The 29-year-old had to be assisted to the sidelines by trainers. An MRI indicated only a bruise.
Witherspoon, 6-1, 239, signed a 6-year, $33 million deal (including $15 million guaranteed) with St. Louis in 2006. In his first season with the Rams, he played in all 16 games and recorded a career-high 113 tackles and three sacks. In 2007 he recorded 110 tackles and a career-high seven sacks and was named Team MVP for 2007
In 2004, he played in Super Bowl for Carolina and had a career-high 16 tackles. He ended the campaign with a total of 99 tackles, one sack and one interception. He was a Panthers' third-round pick in 2002.
Reid also said there is a "good chance" that Todd Herremans will make his season debut against Washington on Monday night. The scan on his surgically repaired foot looked good, Reid said.

Eagles LB Gaither out for season with foot injury (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AmK8mmdPCIFpICZfyLPIxarhMMQF?slug=ap-eagles-gaither&prov=ap&type=lgns)
PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Eagles coach Andy Reid says linebacker Omar Gaither(notes) will have surgery on left foot and will miss the rest of the season.
Gaither suffered the injury during Sunday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders.
He is the second Eagles middle linebacker to be lost for the season— Stewart Bradley(notes) was placed on injured reserve after tearing an ACL in a preseason scrimmage.
On Tuesday, the Eagles acquired linebacker Will Witherspoon(notes) from the St. Louis Rams. Witherspoon will start for the Eagles against Washington on Monday night.

I guess this helps explain the Witherspoon trade
Also means Trot will probably still find some plays on the field
As I said, I always liked Trot
But he looked old and slow (again) on Sunday
Might sneak out of work early for this one
See how busy we are tonight

Hey PL.
I sure hope its the high powered offense and not that joke we saw last week. If they put up a performance like last week and D-Mac continues his off target passing some changes need to be made. THey've gotta win tonight just to keep pace with the Giants and Cowboys.

Good catch and run by Jackson. Way to start off the game.

Andy Reids play calling is horrendous. I don't know what his adversion to the run is all about. Especially with B-West and McCoy

Ooooh. Great touch from McNabb and yaaaaaaaay. In comes Reggie Brown.
Philly loser
10-26-2009, 10:16 PM
It's a shame Reggie Brown has zero value
I would have liked to have kept Brandon Gibson
But when you have no middle linebackers you have to make a move
and, I love Trot, but he wasn't the move
and if you still had the greatest Eagle of all time at safety
you wouldn't have had to be desperate for veteran leadership
okay, someday I'll stop being fucking bitter about Dawkins wearing an orange jersey
but no time soon

Yes
If he quits, he doesn't get paid
The pre-game rumor on ESPN is they took play calling away from him
which he said was his favorite part of the game
hoping that he would get pissed and quit
now it is a battle of wills
will they fire him so he still gets paid his contract?
Bud8Weiser
