OK, so it is no secret that I am not to impressed with our Nations Leader. Seems like a great guy, but just not a good president.

And no, this isn't because the deficit is now expected to be $540 billion instead of $477 billion.

Today I leave work early thinking it would be nice to get home a little early. If I leave 15 minutes early it cuts 15 min. off my commute by avoiding traffic.

I leave White Plains and jump on 287 to get to 684, I am 10 cars from the entrance to 684 and they close the road. Not only 684, but 287, 120, the Hutch northbound, and I believe part of the Saw Mill. I turn on the radio and it is becase the president is landing at Westchester Airport to go to Greenwich, CT. Not a big deal. Road is supposed to be closed for at most 20 minutes. Of course they are running late and we all got to sit there for 45 min.
This is where I get really mad.

I get home and find out that W came in during rush hour, closed 4-5 major roads there, more in CT, to go to a political fund raiser. WTF, they couldn't have touch down a half hour early to avoid rush hour? No, instead me and tens of thousands of my closest friends got to waste 3/4 of an hour for something that had nothing to do with running our nation. Not to mention that the ripple affect of closing the roads for that long lasted for the rest of rush hour.

Is it Nov. yet? Is he out of office? I'll buy him a beer and take him to a ballgame to leave now.

Wow, no politician ever inconvenienced the general citizenry before by making an appearance somewhere. Hard to believe...

Hey, at least he isn't complaining about there being no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I didn't care if there was or not, I wanted to bomb that place anyway.

Sorry for your unfortunate situation today, Dark. I would have a certain hatred for the President too, if I went out of my way to save a half hour's time for myself and he fucked it up by being a negligent rectal wart!

watch it darkstar!!! you are stepping on dangerous ground.

nowadays it seems if you speak up against junior you are a commie or member of the axis of evil.

And no, this isn't because the deficit is now expected to be $540 billion instead of $477 billion.
whoa, wait a sec!!! if you listened the the republicans you would think our economy was the best its ever been?:idontknow and don't give me that the stock market is going up. it always rises in an election year. i'm not 100% sure, but i think the gov controls the interest rates so its on a upswing in election years. (i'm sure darkstar or jolie would now the exact reason.)

Well at least he's not as bad as Clinton was. Bubba was here in NYC at least once a week it seemed. The boy loved NY, or at least he acted that way so wifey can become senator.

First, if speaking up against baby bush makes me a member of the axis of evil, then im its leader.

Second, im not sure if you were serious that I might know the reason the stock market is going up, or whether there is a big government conspiracy to keep rates low in an election year, or were just being sarcastic, but I like you so im going to assume you were serious.

Unfortunately I dont know. Greenspan basically controls whats going on with interest rates tho, and he worked for reagan, papa bush, clinton, and now baby bush.

Altho apparently the market wasnt very happy with the board this week... they kept rates low but changed some wording that makes it sound like they are getting ready for a rate hike, which sent the markets falling.

Lest ye forget that if you speak up against the Democrats or their sacred cow Bill Clinton that means you're also labeled as being some kind of asshole too.

Yeah, really.

Wait, you may be right. No one has ever, ever, ever bashed Republicans in there. I must be mistaken and confused this with some other message board.

Hey, let's watch it with this racy Politic talk. It's getting a bit heated in this place.

Republicans/Democrat debates always go nowhere. I just want to know one thing: Has the market ever been good with are publican in office? When was the last time?

I am a Donotcaracrat for any one that is wondering. Unless my brother was President. Then, maybe I could give him some ideas. I do not have personal contact with the President so I do not care what how he runs this country. I am not going to change it, and neither will any of the voters. We will just play the lottery with the next candidate, hoping he runs it right! Which is 1 in a billion chance. I for one think Clinton did a good job, his only mistake was not going after terrorism when it was planning all of these dastardly deeds.

No politician does everything right, that's a given. It's all about identifying the guy who you think is the right guy and giving him your vote. It makes me laugh when I am villified for supporting GWB. He does some shit that pisses me off too, for example the current talk of eliminating overtime pay. WTF is that shit?

But these fucking a-holes at moveon.org who are comparing him to Hitler need to get a fucking clue. That comparison is offensive and insulting, not to the man himself but to society in general especially Holocaust survivors and such. Moby needs to be kicked in the nuts.

No doubt. I agree with the first paragraph. I support GWB 100%. Everything he has done overseas is what I wanted done 2 years ago, and my wish has been granted. I can deal with all the other bullshit. Cutting overtime cannot be allowed to pass.

The second paragraph... I have to disagree with you on... moby needs to have his balls cut off! Fucking Commie! I hate these fucking whiny bitches! We have a man in the house who his fighting the good fight, getting rid of the scum of the earth. Yeah, he's a former ganja smoking, coke snortin', alcoholic motherfucker, but the job he has done overseas is the job I would have done.

But, I would have said this before attacking Iraq:

"We are looking for Weapons of mass destruction, we hope to find all of Saddam's weapons before they get into the hands of terrorists. If we do not find these weapons of mass destruction, I will still feel vilified in the fact that a Tyrant like Saddam Hussein is taken out of position on this chess board known as the World"

That's what I would have said...

Actually, I was being sarcastic with that first comment too... I knew you were for the first part. :-)

I wasnt sure about the second, but like I said, I figured you were not taking a jab at me, which is why I responded at all. Not sure if you noticed, I'm starting to give up around here.

I actually think that the market DOES tend to rebound in election years, but I am not so sure its the gov't intentionally leading it one way or the other. One thing about elections is the renewed optimism people get with them... The thought that they CAN change the world. Its a very powerful force.

Don't bash MoveOn for a couple clips you saw off the Drudgereport. People have the right to their own views, and the submissions that compared Bush to Hitler were not supported by the major majority of those voting on the board for the add they thought best represented the opinions of the opposition.

Moby, like the rest of us, have the right to do and say what we want. So, saying you think his balls should be cut off, or that he should be kicked in them... fine. Hope you enjoyed saying it. Now move on and focus on something worthwhile....

Moby does have the right to say what he wants. And yes, I also have the right to say he needs to be kicked in the nuts, and Mav has the right to say his balls should be cut off. Guess what? I've also got the right to be a Bush supporter as do others on the board who are as well, without being castigated to the same extent as if I was a member of WNEW/Infinity manangement who was solely responsible for the end of the O&A show.

Assumption if the mother of all fuck-ups. You ASSUME I'm a sheep who read the Drudge report and that was the be-all, end-all of it. WRONG! As much as it turned my stomach to do so, I went to the site and read through it thoroughly back when all the Hitler-talk started. Bottom line, people who are part of that group embraced that type of thinking. No, not all of them, but SOME. And considering it's been perfectly acceptable here to spew hatred and criticism at Republicans in general based on the statements/beliefs of SOME, then I furthermore have every right to call a bunch of jerkoffs, a bunch of jerkoffs.

But he does need to be kicked in the nuts. Comaring the man to Hitler was an awful display.

[QUOTE] I just want to say sorry to Darkstar for making his post into a political drama!

But I love a good political drama.

Unfortunately, I am quickly getting to the point where I don't know which would be worse, Bush or Kerry. Unfortunately, Dean is quickly plummeting. Kerry was in Congress when I lived in Massachusetts, he didn't impress me at all.

The stock market does usually go on the upswing during an election year at first. Sometimes you might see some fluctuation towards the election as investors become uncertain.

A big part of this is just the normal cyclical nature of business and the markets.
