fantasy baseball questions

i know its early, but i figured it will give me some time to get the league the way we want it.

what kind of league do we want?
rotiseree(sp?) or head to head

live draft?

i'm thinking using yahoo, but if anybody knows a better site let em know!!

I like head to head better. It is extremely tough to make up ground once you fall behind and are deep into the season (just ask silent game about Hockey...)

I'd like to do a live draft, but depending on the league size it could be tough to get everyone online together...

I think that the yahoo site was good last year, but don't know anyplace else that will let you run a league for free, and free is more gooder.

How does head to head work? Do we have to change our lineups every night or does it go by stats for a whole week?

i was curious about that as well but yahoo hasnt opened up the league creator for yahoo ball yet. but i could do the live draft (otherwise its just an assigning thing if its like football) . and i would think if its head to head then itll be either a weekly lineup or day to day. but i ageree with booboo once your down in the sats in rotis you pretty much stay there .

Roto or H2H is fine with me,they both work well for baseball.
I would like to see a live draft though if it's possible.

as for pitchers, it was different. you could change them like 3 days in advance. for example, say its sunday, next to his stats are columns for days of the week. if he was pitching on tuesday there would be a check, you could set it (in advance)up that one guy would pitch on monday and then the comp will switch to the tuesday's guy. if that doesn't make sense (and i'm sure it didn't:biggrinfl ) i'll let you know when it opens and you can check it out.

Head to head for baseball on yahoo wasn't bad

basically you go head to head in each statistical category, (H, HR, 2B, etc.) each stat is considered a "game" who ever has more for the week wins that "game". The team that wins the most games wins the head to head matchup, but the deciding factor in the standings is the overall "games" won not head to head match-up's won

last year you could change your players on a daily basis up until game time, at that point the player who's game already started would be locked and their status could not be changed, but you can change any player who hasn't played yet. I don't see why they would have changed anything this year...

Eh, I'd always preferred roto. H2H just takes too much time to constantly switch your team around to get the best matchups. That's why I lost my last H2H league, it had absolutely nothing to do with drafting Jason Giambi in the first round, nothing at all...

ok well the league signups have begun. if we want to run two id be willing to do one and wack could do the other so its not to much of a pain.
