AMBURG, Germany, Feb. 5 — Citing a refusal by the United States to allow testimony from a suspected member of Al Qaeda in its custody, a German court on Thursday acquitted a former roommate of Mohamed Atta who was accused of providing support to suicide pilots in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Oh, ain't that just terrific. Considering the fact that Germany could give a damn about the US and our fight against terrorism, I don't know who to believe. It could be the U.S. for just screwing up and not letting the guy testify, or it could be Germany for not giving a damn about this country nor what happened on 9/11.

I blame the CIA. Germany's the only country to bring criminal charges against people that were involved in 9/11, and we just fucked it up by not giving them access to the evidence they needed for a conviction. And Ashcroft's answer to this is that they should have handed the guys over to us instead of trying to enforce their own country's laws. ::hammer:

yeah, it's pretty boneheaded move by us then. And now this terrorist is out and about, probably getting the ole terrorist band back together. That guy should have a bullet in his head by now.

The US has handled this all wrong from the start.
Too many prisoners and POW's. In our justice system,
they'll be able to use too many loopholes to stay alive.
This should have been "seek and destroy", take no prisioners.
