actually u cant see it but it does say dodge on there....they dealer tag thing says
Hammonton Auto Group
Ford Lincoln Mercury
Chrysler(sp?) Jeep Dodge
but that will gone as soon as i get my tags and im having the guy doing the vinyl company lettering(commercial tagged vehical..it has to get lettered) to take off the vinyl decal from the dealership
and thanks guys...hopefully im gettin dual exhaust soon cause i figured it would sound pretty bad assed due to the high compression of the motor i dunno what i want to get prolly going with a borla cause flowmaster sounds pretty rice burnerish on a V6

Yeah, Borla pipes and mufflers do have a better sound than
Flowmasters. My kid just bought a 96 Impala SS that has the
Borla setup on it and it sounds awsome.
Good luck with the truck, Tat!

Cool, good luck.
but why not just tell the dealer that you bought it off of that you didn't want it on there before you took delivery? They would remove it for you... I hate those things, if I want you to advertise your dealership I'll tell a friend...

Take a hairdryer to it and it'll come right off. Shit, it's only been on there a few days. GENTLE work with a razor blade is all it takes to get the letters off after you heat 'em up with the hairdryer. Then wipe it down with bug & tar remover to get rid of the glue residue.

Tat lives in REDNECK CENTRAL. Don't get me wrong, it's my kinda town. But, they will send him out of town on a rail if he puts most of that type of stuff on his ride...

i beg to differ.... a large percent of my customers are rednecks. you'd be suprised on the ammount of money they spend. they are MUCH more demanding, however. they have no problem with paying top dollar as long as they get exactly what they expect. they accessorize nicely.... never an 82 corolla with rust holes all over the place like some of my customers here in brooklyn.

How is that, in 2004, a car company could actually have the temerity to come out with a 4 litre SOHC engine that puts out 210 HP and 235 lb-ft? Especially when a Honda Accord with a 3.0 litre engine puts out 240 hp, a Dodge Neon with a 2.4 litre engine puts out 230 hp and 250 lb-ft, and a Nissan 350Z can put out 287 hp and 274 lb-ft from 3.5 litres? SOHC? What is this, 1978?

auto specs can be manipulated..... "x" amount of tourque of HP at what rpm? how much tourque at the wheels?

actually i think he was talkin about the 24" rims and lowering the truck.....and you dont experience red necks you work in new york.......there are maybe 3 lowered trucks like mine in my area except one is a ranger with a nasty 306 V8 and a s10 with a 350 V8....the other one is an s10 extreme thats owned by a rican who put 20's on it and its teh ghey truck in town. almost all trucks here are at stock hieght or higher with off roading tires....btw i read the reviews for my Goodyear Wrangler RT/S' god do they suck i think im going with the #1 rated All Terrian on the site the Bridgestone Deuler Revo A/T II or BFGoodrich TA A/T KO's both are the 2 best all terrians.....or i might go overkill and by Bridgestone Deuler Mud Terrians. First priority isx replace shitty tires then get dual exhaust

The turbo Neon, at least, is usually dyno'ed for more HP and Torque at the wheels than it's rated for at the flywheel... or at least it was before Chrysler put in high flow fuel injectors in the 2004 model and upped HP by 15 and torque by 5. Chrysler apparently tests its turbos in hot environments with zero air flow across the intercooler.
And as far as HP at a particular RPM... That's obviously a consideration. But I don't know, I'm a guy who really, really, really likes to drive... and I almost always keep my engine within 2000 rpm of redline. Not particularly easy with a 7800 RPM redline, but a lot more fun.

bear in mind that a truck requires more power at low RPMs for hauling or towing.... it's not a speed machine... it's a workhorse. huge amount of horse power at hi revs is useless for a truck.

This is true... I'm mostly just upset that this is a very similar engine (possibly the exact same engine, retuned) that'll be in the redesigned Mustang that comes out next year. 4.0 Litre SOHC, 200 hp, 235 lb-ft. It really, really bothers me that a Mustang, even the base Mustang, has 40 less HP than a Honda Accord.
