Can anyone recommend a small treadmill/eliptical machine that is small and not too expensive?

if theres a sears around your place go there and check these out, they always have sales on this shit, i bought one for the old lady and it was on sale 600 regular 900. If u get or have a sears card u dont have to dump all the money at once, its a good machine and if u ever have a problem with it sears always take shit back...

I'm all about buying used fitness equipment. People buy the shit all the time and end up using it for a clothes drying rack. There's a chain around here called Omni Fitness that specializes in that stuff.

I decided to get a bike and a trainer. (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=17413&siteID=uH1iIcjvuWs-fK0bCzri0IzTrEzslQubBQ) . That way I get the best of both worlds. I'll mostly use it indoors like a stationary bike, but if I get the urge, I can always unhook it and ride it outside.

Good call, man. I have something similar - the Cycle-Ops fluid plus. That trainer should kick your ass pretty well. Just make sure to not crank the resistance roller down onto your rear tire too much, or it'll ruin your tire in no time. And get up out of the saddle every 5 minutes or so or your nuts will be hating you.

If you have any questions about the bike purchase, drop me a PM. I've been racing bikes for over 10 years now, and I've worked in bike shops on the side for almost that long, so hopefully I can help you from being ripped off.
