COME ON RANDOM! Jesus Christ! You could be such a passionate Islander fan, and such a self-hating Mets fan. We will be the surprise team in the East this year. The Braves will be the surprise scrubs in the East. The Marlins will be the surprise FLUKE of this year, without I-Rod they are nothing! The Phils will be good.

Let's go Mets!

As a Phil's fan I'm somewhat biased, but the Philly's do
look good this year. It would be real nice to see a close
race in the NL East again. Tired of the Braves walkin away
with it.

I was flipping through the new issue of Playboy at the office today and they pick the Phillies to win the NL East. That's the ONLY perk of my job, the office copy of Playboy.

keep your eye on soriano. i think he is going to be one of the best players in the game in a few years. too bad the mets couldn't close the deal with him. i think he is real pissed to be in texas and will be changing teams as soon as he can.

As a Braves' fan near Philly (forgive me, I didn't grow up here), it pains me to say that no one, including Atlanta fans, expects anything more than a 4th place finish this season. There's just nothing left. The only decent starter they have is Russ Ortiz, and last year may well have been a fluke. The Phils, Marlins, and Mets should all be better, and I say it's about time. The Atlanta front office has been trying to torpedo this team for years, and they finally frickin' accomplished it. Way to go, tools...

In the AL, gotta go with the Red Sox, because the Yankee clubhouse is going to implode somewhere around June 15th or so...too many egos, not enough at-bats.

red sox cubs and astros have the best staffs. phillies the best pen so if those teams stay healthy they should all make it, yanks will not be as good cuz the ptiching is down, hell i would pick the cubs and red sox but they will both somehow lose.

i think the yanks pitching will keep them in games and their bats will win them. i think people are making a big deal out of yankee pitching because everyone hates them and wants them to lose. but i do think they will surprise some people.

Hmmm ok so the METS are going to end up where 3rd place? They are not getting 92 wins (which will probably be needed to win the WILD CARD) Hmm Fred "COUPON" bitches noone goes to SHEA anymore yet WON'T GET THE BEST PLAYERS LIKE A-ROD... I'm sick of him not spending the right money.. QUEENS ISN'T KANSAS CITY THIS IS NEW YORK the METS GET PLENTY OF REVENUE... I can understand not going up to YANKEE 200 million range but JESUS..

My ISLANDER FANDOM has no bearing on how disgusted I have become with the METS... THE ISLANDERS' revenue is nowhere close to what the METS make, so I can understand CHUCKIE WANG being CHEAP.. He has lost millions over the last few years and still has kept the payroll around $40 million(which is near the middle of NHL PAYROLLS) and the ISLANDERS are going to playoffs for the 3rd straight year on a shoestring budget.

Wilpon keeps saying "WE NEED TO GET INTO THE PLAYOFFS TO MAKE A PROFIT" then goes out and pisses away money on MO VAUGHN.... When we could of have HAD A-ROD for the same money as VAughn, Burnitz, and whoever else the METS got over the last few years.
