I have a baseball auction in like a week or so. I heard its pretty cool but I never did an auction before, has any one ever done a fantasy auction before?
I'm looking for some advice and trying to develop some strategy.

Sorry I am a dope...::hammer:
I should have thought that not everyone might know what I was talking about...
Its just another way to build your fantasy team. Basically you use an auction to build your team instead of a draft and you only bid on players that you want. Each team has a salary cap that you cannot go over.
For example I want pujols for my team I start the bidding for him obviously at least 3 or 4 owners will want him so you get into a bidding war for him, whoever bids the highest for the player gets him. If you paid 50 bucks for him and your cap is $100 you have to fill out the rest of your team for the remaining $50 you have under the cap. Does that make sense??? not then
It gives everyone a fair shot at the best plyers unlike a draft...

hmmmm....i would bid on some middle to good players. maybe try for a high price pitcher. the other owners might spend too much money on 1 or 2 of the higher guys, and you'll be sitting there with enough cash to get the players they can't. i have never really been in a league like that, so i 'm not sure if i am giving good advise. sounds good to me tho:biggrinea

That's one strategy...
or you could go load up on Pujols and ARod and not worry about anything else.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the league is Hitters only, were not doing the pitching thing...
