I heard some people the other day talking about how offended they had gotten by O&A at times, and how they'd had to stop listening sometimes because the programming just wasn't acceptable to them.

Now, there's certainly times I felt uncomfortable, cringe radio, if you will... Ruth Buzzi... that guy from Hogan's Heros... but I tried really hard to think if there was anything ever on that show that really offended me, to the point where I just had to turn the radio off and stop listening.

There was, once. The KKK Song. That was just a bit too much for me, and I had to turn the radio down until it was over, because I just didn't want to listen to it.

Were there any times any of you thought O&A stepped over the line a bit too far?

i could barely listen to the time some guy was eating a mouse or rat alive? can't remember... but they were talking about how it was in his mouth little feet and tail waggling all around before he swallowed it.... so nasty heh.

I wasn't into the whole 55 gallon drum challenge thing. Listening to a bunch of girls screaming in horror while guys get off on it... I don't know, it wasn't for me.

At the same time, though, it just wasn't my thing, and from the response they said they got, a lot of other people really enjoyed it. When that show was on (I believe the last one they did was on a Friday?), I just turned it off and tuned them back in the following Monday.

I wasn't necessarily "offended", I just felt kind of uncomftorable with it, and didn't get why it was entertaining.

Sandy Kane generally disgusts me. I'm with ya there Fofo. The guy F'ing the dead monkey head is up there too.

I can't say I was ever offended, not even during the Most Offensive Song Contest. The most fun I had was playing those songs to unsuspecting people and seeing their reactions. That was very priceless. I was shocked those people talked to me after that.

It is crazy to not take offense to Jew, black, gay, death, and whatever else jokes the boys have made, but I never took offense to any of it. Even playing a Hitler speech over the words of a SURVIVOR (Holocaust, not the show, idiot:liljim:) .

Then, I think it is wrong for them to take the wig (It was their wig, mind you) from a Stalkers ant sized head... Nonetheless, I did think it was horrible, and I was kind of sad after hearing it. I think it was a bad way to end the show. If they had done it in the middle or beginning of the show it may not have had the same effect on people.

There was a very early show from 1998 when they had guys come into the studio to get kicked in the you know whats by some girls and one elderly lady..That was a little more than I could handle, and I had to temporarily tune out until it was over!

That was the one for me. I listened but barely. I loved the wig thing though. Definitely one of my favs.

Why it was difficult to get offended by O&A was because they hit everyone equally. If they consistently attacked one group, then maybe. There have been a bunch of times where I wanted to change the channel because of teh cringe factor, i.e. Cindy Williams and the Hogan's Hero debacle. Can't forget teh first time they had teh Rock on either.
