i'm having trouble figuring out who to root for in the NBA finals.

on one hand you have the lakers, i hate them. they've beaten the sixers in four finals over the yrs.

on the other you have larry brown who left the whole sixers team in disarray(sp?) since he split and went to detroit.

i can't figure out who to root for.

The Lakers, Larry Brown is the worst traitor since Benedik Arnold (sp). But i still hate the Lakers and will take joy when that rapist Kobe Brant is hauled off to jail.

larry Brown tried to make it work in Philly but there was only so much he could do. He couldn't get rid of Iverson and he could fit a decent team around Iverson's salary. Granted his comments were rough on the way out but before everyone rips him for leaving like he did everwhere else, they should keep in mind that this was known behaviour for Brown coming into Philly. Everyone knew that it has happened in the past and could happen again. I don't know why everyone is so bitter now htat it has happened.

Granted a lot of his personelle moves were not good but he was doing what he thought was best to compete with the west and win a championship. But he was never going to win with the group he took to the finals so he tried other combinations. Those didn't work either but he took his shot. The real problem was and still is Iverson. His contract does not allow the Sixers to get another impact player. They never should have given a contract that big in the first place.

I'm glad Larry Brown won a championship. I don't blame him for leaving Philly. He would have no chance of winning a championship anytime soon with them.

It's nice that the East finally got some respect back. Fuck The Lakers! :biggrinfl
