I want to send a HUGE FU to my father's boss being a inconsiderate scumbag by having his daughter's wedding on the 4th of July.... In a poor attempt to make the day more festive then a wedding already is, there will be no BBQ by the pool and no friends and family hanging out eating having a good time this fourth of July... You had to ruin everybodies holiday and have your bullshit wedding on the 4th instead of every other day in July

I hope your daughter is r a p e d by a Jamaican on her honeymoon and catches AIDS....

FUCK YOU

While I totally agree with you on that sucking ass........why blame the father? I don't know anyone that has a date picked by the bride's father....even if he is footing the bill.

The reason I sent the FU to him was because he's my fathers boss my mother and father got invited.... He's still a douche bag anyways, my father has to drop $500+ for the gift and his scumbag boss won't allow him to work overtime to save money!

Yeah we all have off tommorow but to make matters worse the wedding is til' 1AM so tommorow is a wasted day because everyone will be recovering....

Sounds like my boss. He's a complete dickhead when it comes to work, but he expects everyone to be his best friend outside of work.

At least you weren't at my cousin Mike's wedding . . . holy crap, what a cluster fuck.

The ceremony was fine, but we knew the reception was going to be shit when we saw the DJ was in the next room playing "background music" at half volume because there was no dance floor.

The little novelty item that everyone gets was a little package of chocolates with the couple's names on the wrapper. And it was just rewrapped Hershey Miniatures.

The appetizer was a pasta dish that was self-served out of a large bowl at the center of each table.

The cake took an hour to arrive after dinner.

And to top it all off . . . A FUCKING CASH BAR!!!!!

The only reason it's not remembered as a complete disaster is that 9/11 happened 3 days later and put it all in perspective.

On the 4th! That's just dumb. I'm a chef and know the whole catering thing relatively well. For something like that it definately cost extra for being on the 4th. Plus, every staff member of of the caterers, or whoever was used, want's your family dead for fuc-ing up their 4th. Watch for foreign objects in your food.

He might be onto something. You might want to test the food for DNA material, if ya know what I mean... Otherwise, enjoy the crab bisque.

If it's a cash bar, take the money out of the envelope for the drinks and tip heavily.

What a fucking waste of a holiday!

its actually the exact opposite, a relative of ours also had a wedding today in jersey that my parents got stuck going to and on holidays with the exception of new years and valentines of on a weekend you only pay half for a plate, i used to work in the back office of a rather good resteraunt and i remember we called em give away days, most people wont do it on those days most resteraunts dont want to so they just slash the price of a plate and give less service, or in our case pre cook all the meals during the week and just have the sous chef on hand

Yeah, it may be a good deal money wise. But it totally eff's up
most people's holiday plans. I still think it's a bad idea.

If that's the way your place does it, fine. But , in my opinion, that's really hack work. What place do you work for?

actually thats the way alot of places do it and the customers know, and when i say prepare foood its usually just meats, not fish though. pastas and such are all done that day, and believe me its in no way hack work, we didnt have a party this year on 4th but did last year they still paid 260 ish a plate, usually around 350 400 a plate

Please understand, I'm not trying to belittle your work. It's just that from your original statement, it sounded taxi. With further description, it sounds much better. Way too expensive for me though. Were those numbers before or after the price cut?

Then again, it's a general rule that we can't afford to eat where we work if it's a high end place.

The hours... The lousy pay... torture, it's torture.
