My favorites are the Wal Mart employees who point and joke your ride while you shop for more neon lights and bondo.

I hate those little tin cans too, but they sure look good when they run a red light and are kept honest bu a SUV.

Not all import tuners are this ghey... I've been in my brothers civic when we raced a GT mustang. The stang lost by a lot! Also, unless you're a lunatic, you won't spend $33,000 souping up an import. Most turbo kits and such (at least for civics) are less than $3k. Most of the other stuff is cheaper too...

very few modified cars are tastefully done... ahem..... Muscle cars! You wouldn't think of putting fiberglass body kits on '69 Camaro!

ahem......4X4's! Done right (not with body lifts) 4X4 trucks are hot! Nothing hotter than a hot chick pulling up in a pick-up lifted 4 inches with 35 inch mud tires under it!

And for both....V8 muscle with headers and loud mufflers!!

GTI, a great car. VR6 or 1.8T? Chip the 1.8 and you get another 30-35hp out of it.

Sorry, don't like the 4x4's and not a real big muscle car fan. Granted a 67 Camero or Mustand is a great car. I just prefer German cars, just a much tighter ride and feel like they were designed to be driven.

I believe that is the 20th AE Golf?? Pretty nice, I checked 'em out. Chipping the 1.8T will void any and all warranties. VW dealers have refused to do any work on chipped turbos in the past. My girlfriend has a 97 Jetta now and it's a piece of shit. I have had a mustang (tranny blew), a camaro RS (tranny blew) and a Taurus (tranny, AC, motor mounts, windshield everything blew). I had them all less than a year, all had less than 70k miles, and I am not hard on my cars. I have had a Honda for 6 years now and I've never, ever had to take it to the dealer for service outside of whats recommended. Tranny is perfect. I will never buy anything other than a Japanese car from now on, and will probably only stick with hondas. Sorry guys, American cars have F'd me and my family over more times than I can explain. If you like 'em, more power to ya.

Yeah the chip does void warranty, but you can just wait till its up or buy a seperate ECU and just swap the whole ECU rather than putting a new chip on the exisiting 1.

I was almost wondering if it was an R32 You know faster than a Carrera and a Ferrari off the line. Gest burnt in the quarter mile though.

the year the camaro and the stang makes a huge difference....

stang used to come with the A4LD trans.... biggest piece of crap ever produced by ford.

camaro came with either the 200-4R or the 700-R4(i'm assuming ealrier years).... the 200-4R was a piece of crap, but had a nice low end gear ratio... the 700 was a stronger unit but not as good on the take off. either one was reletively inexpensive to repair

taurus(pretty much any year) was a flop.

wait till you see your transmission repair bill for that honda.... that's a matter of time... and you should be thnking god it lasted that long. when i was rebuilding transmissions, my boss always loved them accords.... they kept the shop busy.

At around 137,000 the clutch gave on my `89 turbo Volvo wagon, between parts and the grinding of the flywheel it was a beauty of a bill.
I still like the car a lot. it has the performance chip from the factory which gives it a little more power, it's fun pissing on BMW's with it.

Darkstar

I love that Volvo will sell a performence chip that doesn't void the warranty. Funny what tricking the computer into thinking the air is colder and denser can do.,

its the 20th anniversary edition... 1.8T... completely stock... there's only 1000 in the US thats blue... the main reason why i like it... not a dime a fuckin dozen...

Love my Alaska Green 1.8T jetta. They don't make many in that color which is why I like it as well. They took the green and gray paints and mixed them so its gray in some light and forest green in others.

That 1.8 has some great torque for a 4 banger.
