Kind of reminds me of the motto I had when I ran the kitchen.
We know it's gonna look like shit tomorrow. Make sure it doesn't look like shit today.

When I was working in New York City, whenever I had a bad stomach, I would go to my favorite hot dog vendor and order 3 Sabretts with chili, onions, and mustard.
That always fixed it!

Or, you can always get a bag of White Castle burgers and bring them home.
Just one thing, be sure to eat them while sitting on the toilet! If not, wear very tight leather underwear.

Usually you get about a 20 minute window..just enough to get home, and run for the bathroom. They don't call them "sliders" for nothing.

He's right!! Where do you feel the pain specificly? What area of the abdomen. It's looked at in quadrants (EMT talking) from just under the ribs to the top of the pubic area. It's divided centrally down the sternum and left to right half way down. Which quadrant is the pain in?

He said they thought it was IBS. That is a lot more treatable..
My mom has diverticulitis, and it's been a horror show for years. They had to take out half her stomach. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Theoretically, IBS can be helped by changing you diet. I'm sure you know all that already. I hope the pain stops man.

The extent of it for my old man is that he is supposed to avoid foods that can irritate the condition. In a nutshell, there are these little sacs in the colon. Hard, undigestible things like seeds get stuck in there causing irritiation which leads to pain and the other symptoms. In the last few years he's been largely ignoring the restrictions though and hasn't had any problems.
He was diagnosed with it years ago, I was still in high school. Once he amended his diet, the problem went away. But like I said, the last few years he's deviated from it it and hasn't had any issues.
