Better than Madden? I must disagree. Madden is and probably always will be the best football game on the market.

i too once held your opinion my good sir until i happened to pick up espn last year, give it a chance hell its only $20. better graphics, better gameplay, better presentation.

I have checked it out. It does have better graphics, but I don't think the gameplay is as good.

well everyone has thier own favs, i just think madden has gotten stale over the years. but i will give props to madden for creating the drive in other game developers to strive to create a game that competes or surpasses madden

I know what you mean about getting stale because some aspects of the game has not changed in years but that is to preserve it's realistic feel.

i kinda hear ya but what about the horrible commentary in the madden games, espn commentary sounds like a real game commentary they bring up previous plays and real time stats. i dont know ill probably buy madden also just like i did lasy year before i found espn or at least il rent it just to see whats up, but solid competition can only benifit both games.

2k5 does have better commentary too. i'm willing to give that up for the gameplay of Madden. I also like NCAA 2005 and the ability to play a season in NCAA and Madden and then import the draft class from NCAA to Madden in the franchise mode.

It's my Fav sports franchise easily. The Dynasty mode is pure greatness!!!

this game efin rocks. for 20 bucks you cant help but get it. there are some flaws with the presentation sometimes but the game handles like a dream. a whole lot more fun then last years madden. and the lb and secondary controls are awesome. nothing better than double or triple teaming a guy by your own control.

Every mag is calling ESPN 2k5 better than the new Madden. THe $30 difference in price is a factor, but the gameplay is what they say truly makes the difference.

I'm having fun with the game, but I enjoy Madden more.
Also, regarding the commentary, they screw up half the names on my team (Steelers.)
Gets pretty annoying.

I hate suzie at the end of the games. She serves no purpose just like in the real games.

I love Berman though and of course TO on the front cover is nice.

Well now you guys have my attention. A twenty dollar knockoff being better thatn the original? Can it be true? I see I must run out to my local Hollywood Video to rent said game, however I have a dilemma. Which platform? I prefer the PS2 controller for sports games but if the graphics on the XBox are that much better, I'll check that out instead?
So what'll it be , X-Box or PS2?

Target gets it for the PS2 this week $15.88 i think that you cant go wrong for a brand new game for under $20...

Plus, you can create an online league...
