as a customer their service sucks. can't ever get someone to help, 1 cashier open for 50 people in line while 3 or 4 employees chit chat near by, took me 2 hours to exchange a dvd (and the movie was only 90mins long).
as a courier their shipping dept sucks. i had all kinds of electronics in my truck for 4 days. i would try at least twice a day to deliver the stuff and no one ever answered the loading dock. yesterday i bang on the bay doors and can hear them assholes talking in there, and i can see them walking around in there. god forbid they do some work and get their packages. i should not have to be going back there a few times a day to try and deliver their shit.
aside from an F.U. to best buy i want to say that once the announcment is made as to where O&A will be i will get my unit...but NOT at best buy. i'll go someplace that knows what they are doing and shows an interest in thier customers (even if they are just pretending to be interested)
Fuck You Best Buy.

My Best Buy rocks. The people are always asking if they can help and there is rarely anymore than like 4 people in a checkout line. It's a pretty busy store too. I've never tried to deliver anything to them, but I doubt that they are as bad in that aspect as your store either.

I like my Best Buy too. One time they had a good deal running with some DVDs and I missed out on it, but they gave me the deal when I came in there 1 week later. Plus, I love their reward zone. I'll most likely get my satellite radio equipment there just for the gift certificates I'll get back from them.
FU to shitty customer service and lazy fucks. I had an experience like that at Staples once. One girl working the registers while everyone else was just standing around. She called for assistance several times and no one would open up a register.

I'm going to Circuit City!
They usually have at least one person per departmen that can answer your questions.
Best Buy sucks! They treat their employees like shit and I have been to a few websites that just really tear that company a new asshole.

Someone from Best Buy must have got wind of this site, because the link is dead now.

I guess it all depends on which store you go to.

I am the king of the self-sufficient shoppers. The people in the store mean little or nothing to me anyway. I shop purely on price once I have it narrowed down to what exact item I want.

That's how I usually am. There was one time I was at the Wiz, though, and I stood in one spot for about 20 minutes looking at one specifice stereo, and not a single employee even tried to ask if I needed help. I'm glad they're out of business. The Best Buy that opened across the street from them is much better. They even offer to help me when I'm in the CD section, which is the last place a person needs help when shopping there. the can be a little slow in getting new CDs on the shelf when release day rolls around, though.

I just got my XM radio from bestbuy.com. Was wondering whether or not I should have signed up for the rewards program. Is it worth it? Are the rewards just gift certificates? Or do they give other stuff?

it sucks... they make you pay $ 9.99 for it, and it takes forever to get rewards... to get anything good, you have to make a huge purchase... i only did it cuz i bought a $ 2000 laptop...

I got it when I was buying my TV and got like $70 back. Since then I've gotten around another $80 from it so it's paid for itself a few times over.
