Is XM going to come out with a portable receiver like Sirius has? I'm sure they are, I'd just like to know how close it is to coming out. I'd love to be able to hear O&A while I'm out and about...
If I may use the term "out and about."

Is it up on the XM website? I'll probably spring for it if it's available.

Whichever comes out, they should have been out before O&A were on the air.

It's not tough to convert a roady to portable use, requires a 7.2 volt RC car battery, a RC car repair kit (for the wire to connect to the battery), an adapt-a-plug adapter type "b" and the wire it attaches to, and a charger for the battery. All of these things can be bought at Radio Shack for about $40, and add a small hip bag, I got one at Duane Reede for $10 that has both the waist strap and a shoulder strap, and you have a decent little portable rig. Everything except the battery charger fits in the bag, including a 6v ac adapter for office use and the XM car/fm modulator adapter.
*** An addendum to this post: You will look like a complete fag if you clip it around your waist, even if you explain that it's the coolest satellite radio system in the world you have inside it. Fag bags are just gay looking no matter what the reason for it.

I use the Armie - it comes with the battery pack, antenna and neoprene type case for everything. It also has a battery charger. It is about twice as much as JoeyDVDZ's solution, but without the fag bag :) I have been pretty happy with it, though sometimes I have to keep the flap open to get good reception.
I believe Ziggy has them on his website - HERE (http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?yhst-54608124176281+9NSgFp+armie-xm-portable-arm-band.html+)
(Please correct me if that is not his website)
