XM finally getting a legit sport like baseball is definitely sweet. Them trying to pass off NASCAR as their main sports content was downright sad especially when they're trying to compete with Sirius. If they get the NBA next I'll be set and thrilled, I gotta have my Knicks as a displaced New York fan.

NBA would be the ultimate for me. I also think that it would seal the deal for any real sports fan who is thinking of the satellite radio alternative.
Though, my Sacramento Kings will no doubt leave fans blue-balled again this year.

Basketball would rock. Believe it or not, you can still follow along with the game like you can in Baseball.

Sirius has NFL. How often are you driving around in a car for 4 hours on a Sunday.
Nice pick-up Deeks.

I dunno how they really could pull off the NBA though. There's only so many channels and bandwidth, and MLB and NBA overlap in the Spring. If XM is going to carry pre-season, that's ALOT of overlap.

Sirius has BOTH the NBA and NHL... and the NHL deal is exclusive, so no hockey on XM for the forseeable future :-/

what's the point of having the NHL when there's no hockey?

Fuck the NHL. You might as well have an exclusive deal with the SDL (Saturn Disk League) or some other made up sport league. Hockey is gone and it ain't coming back except in some scaled back form. Maybe half the teams, mandatory salary caps, etc. to cut costs.
Too bad about the NBA. I guess I can always listen to Kings games on local radio though.

You can bid on an O and A signed shirt on ebay. It's only $ 476.76 right now. :icon_wink

Basketball isn't even a sport. Its just an easy way to get golfers distracted while everyone else does real work.

At some point these extra costs to XM are going to cut into the profits, so we'll get a monthly universal increase in cost or seperate fees per sport.
