I was cleaning out my fucking closet and I had my XM radio going of course. I walk out of the closet and trip over the power cord knocking my radio to the ground and yanking all three wires out. The Antenna wire and audio wire are fine as well as the connectors on the Roady. But the fucking power cable connector is bent inside the roady and the AC adapter connecter has a hairline crack on it causing it to be loose in the Roady. Do you think I can get a replacement Roady from XM? It still works but if the power cable is jolted or disturbed then the power kicks off.

Do you have a warranty? If so, then yes. ;)

lol my roady is fine, I don't need an upgrade. Especially that ugly SkiFi. I don't like it.

not the Ski-fi.... The Roady 2!

It's just a little smaller than the original Roady.

You could always have someone solder it back together, check computer and electronic shops, even the folks at Radio Shack might have someone local for you.

I hate to be a Negative Nelly, but I don't think they'll replace it if you broke it the way you described. I know that my SkyFi isn't covered under its protection plan if I'm negligent, so I doubt that a Roady bought through the special deal would be covered in that situation. I know, I know--I'm a Gloomy Gus sometimes, but I'm really just trying to be a Helpful Harry by being a Realistic Ronald.

I'd go with WBCN_Smoke's suggestion--although, after today, you might want to be very careful about going into a Radio Shack.

What is Radio Shack up to now? Those bastards still won't unsubscribe me from their email list...

Soldering is a common thing to do especially on laptops where to power connector is loose.

Thanks for the warning and advice. Don't worry about being a girly goose, you're just giving advice you silly sally. How would they get into the unit? I see no screw holes.

Woo alright! I was told to call Delphi and get the equipment replaced from them. So I did, and they are...gonna. But I'll be without the show for 5-7 days. It'll hurt especially since tomorrow they talk to Lazlow about GTA: SA. Can someone give me a synopsis of the show tomorrow?
