Isn't it racist for the media to hold up Obama as somehow more newsworth for the color of his skin? Its not like he was up against a strong canididate.

I think that part of it is the color of his skin but I really believe a bigger part is that the media really WANTS the Dems to have a strong candidate that sounds somewhat reasonable. Face it, there are tons of clips of Kerry sounding like a lunatic, same with Hillary but in an even more abrasive fashion.

Obama is much smarter and more reasonable in the way he presents himself. He seems to be reasonable and even tempered no matter who he is speaking to unlike Kerry, & Hillary who use one face while talking to the media but then sound completely hateful when you hear tape of them talking to their own people. And then there is Dean who almost always sounds like a nut case.

Dean got the base of the party going, I don't know if anyone as softspoken as Obama can do that. If they have the guts to put him on a national ticket he will help more than hurt chances.

I find it intresting that he's half white but the Confederate standard applies, some part black = all black. Harvard grad he is too.
