Not sure of the official release date, but it's being compared to SOCOM. Which could be a good thing if it's done right.
I heard late February, but who knows.

The old console vs PC debate. To each his own.
I prefer the PS2 controls over the keyboard/mouse.
Controllers take more skill then K/M, IMO.

At four I was playing with blocks, we didn't have video games way back then.
I can still remember playing Pong for hours, it was an amazing piece of technology at the time. Then you look at Atari 2600 with the Joystick. Must have broken a hundred of those fucking things.
Like I said, to each his own. Of course the PC version is going to be superior to the console. I'd still get the console version, as it's better for me.

Controllers take more "skill"? How about controllers take more "effort"...

I play PC and console games. I do agree that the controllers take more skill. The PC games are much more pretty but often it's about who has the best equipment and console games are about the higher skill level.

And that's your opinion.
Console gaming has it's advantages if you don't feel like dumping a ton of cash into a PC just to play the latest and greatest.

Also, FU to GTA2 for not working in XP.

Exactly. I barely use my PS2 (till GTA:SA came out) or my Xbox but I'd never knock consoles. Its great being able to relax on your couch and get away from sitting a foot or two away from a monitor every once in a while. I even prefer the consoles when it comes to sports games. And adding online capability was probably the best thing to happen to consoles. Also, as mentioned, not worrying about having to meet specs to run a game is a huge plus. Each has its plus sides but I personally would take a PC over a console anyday.

I always prefer PC. I have PS2 and Xbox also, but the PC is just better. The keyboard just takes time to get use to. Theres noway a FPS control is better on a consol then a PC. I love sport games on consoles and buy a few other games still for XBOX and PS2, but I try to stay w/ PC. I couldnt wait however for GTA to come PC
Alos HL2 is coming for PC, more then a reason to upgrade :)

Same here, thanks to mostly people here and also O&A talking it up so much got to me so I had to get it. And I also agree that there is no way a controller can match up to a kb/mouse in a FPS. Ever.

Unless you play a FPS or RTS game, PC is pointless. The controls suck seriously bad. Driving with a keyboard/mouse is a joke, let alone shooting in third person.
Max Payne was soooooo much better on console than it was on PC. The only reason to get games on a PC is for graphics and if you are willing to sacrifice gameplay for graphics you should shoot yourself in the head anyway.

I can agree that a controller is better for certain games (like GTA or other 3rd person games) but you do realize theres a shit load of peripherals you could get for your PC right? I was always a fan of the PS2 controller over the Xbox controller but I found a controller for the PC that not only has the exact same feel of a PS2 controller but it also has 2 extra buttons. Plus, unlike the consoles, every button is always programmable unlike alot of console games that only allow 4 or 5 different configurations that the makers think are the best. http://us.thrustmaster.com/products/dsp_fam.php?fam=5
Plus just about every PC game can be modded (and usually are) and/or easily updated, so saying that PC gaming 'pointless' is far from the truth. Both console gamers and PC gamers have their fans and both have their fanboys.
