I got yelled at for not sharing the show

I wont say where but many of you may know where im talking about, it was a mistake to leave it in that folder (i record the show for myslef and nobody else)

And now im prety pissed, too the point where emailed the show of a place that posts the show each day (and Howards show, how awful)

I dont think im wrong by doing this, and if your down to help, pm me places that openly share the new XM show

I could hook up any XM reciever to my PC and record

folks, if you got a source then fine, but why blab about it? don't you think XM will crack down on it? threads like this only state an obvius fact that the shows are avaliable someplace. the crackdown hasn't begun yet, but in time....

I must have imagined all of those lawsuits by the RIAA against people sharing music. I must have also missed the MPAA announcing they will be doing the same shortly.

What's the problem with recording the show? The MyFi will allow the user to record 5 hours of content, and from there can be recorded onto tape or digital media.... same s. I have my roady 2, in addition to my car receiver, and i record what i think is funny onto the computer every now and then.

But ya know what, if sharing a show or two with people will help spread the virus... go ahead, XM Comedy (Ch. 150) played a show or two of the b-b-boys a week or two ago, I guess to get the word out to the regular subscribers. But like I've read before, there are some old fans that DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT O&A ARE BACK ON THE AIR.

it's not a question of recording the show. it's feeding it, letting who knows how many folks download it and all with out XM seeing a rise in subscribers.

Think of it this way. If the show gets out to billions cause of feeding and downloading, yet the numbers show only a few thousand are subscribed to 202, what do you think will happen? Bye Bye O&A V3.

and as far as passing on matirial that can be considered copyrighted ... just look at some law books.

I think people should be able to download the shows. I also think those people are scumbags for stealing the show. But that's the way it goes. If XM starts cracking down on the internet, that just one more collection of assholes ruining the internet. I believe the internet should be like a swat meet or black market. Anytime anyone cracks down to clean it up is a small step in the wrong direction. If billions of people are going to steal the show while thousands subscribe, that's the way it's gonna be. Those billions of people like the show, but don't feel it's worth the money to pay for it, and you aren't going to change that. Except for great marketing. But that's be discussed on the show already and it's beyond a wacky bit, XM stinks when it comes to promoting the show. Look at ipod and U2...Okay, now look at XM and O&A. Where are the promos and ads? Ya hear?

O&A aren't going anywhere. First, they are under contract for a couple years and this is week 6. Second, once Howey hits in Jan. 2006, XM is going to break out the "me too" card and show promote O&A like all hell. Sorry to say that O&A wount get advertised for real until 2006, but I'm sure it'll be the case. The good news is the office will almost be done.

And let me just say, I'm not bashing XM cause I think they suck, I rag on XM because they are better than this. Tough love. Like a bitch that gets out of pocket.
