I saw an XM commercial on Sci-Fi last night, and they had MLB mentioned, but no word of our boys. I was pretty pissed.

Sounds good. Maybe a heavier emphasis on the "Stern Effect." Like it or not and whether anyone wants to admit it, but Stern is an 'economic indicator' for SIRI. With the stock approaching $5.00 (as of 12:20 EST). Minimal when you com,pare to XM, but take into account that the stock hovered between 3.00-3.50 for a few majority of the year.

Dear Mr. Panero:

I am writing to you this morning in regards to your program found on XM Radio Channel 202, “High Voltage”, The Opie and Anthony Show. Currently I am a subscriber to XM radio and the premium service known as “High Voltage” found on that very channel, and concerned over the lack of promotion for it.

I first became a fan of the program back in the mid to late 1990’s when Opie and Anthony were found on 107.3FM, WAAF in Worcester/Boston. Ever since then, I have been following the program, from Boston to New York (syndication) and now to XM Satellite Radio. As a fan and a “loyal listener” of the program, I am rather dismayed over the lack of promotion that is being provided for the “boys.” The Opie and Anthony Show, is as you know, a very influential program, which can generate tremendous amounts of revenue for any radio company that signs them. Yet, I do not see XM working to its fullest potential when it comes to the advertising, promotion, and getting, as the duo would say, “the virus out.”

Examples of the poor promotional efforts can be seen through the lack of commercial advertisements on television and terrestrial radio, little or no product placement in retail stores which sell XM radio equipment, and little cross channel promotion on XM radio stations. Furthermore, it seems, that what little promotion that is done, is either through word-of-mouth or fans of the show taking the initiative to do sticker stops and the sort. This is clearly not enough. There should be cross-promotional advertising during Major League Baseball (if permitted by the contracts signed), billboards put up for them in the previous markets that they dominated (New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, and etc), and bring out the XM Radio van to do tour stops (a la “The Passion of OnA”). Right now, what is being done is not enough.

Lastly, it should be noted that with the increase in interest for satellite radio, and the coming of radio personality Howard Stern to Sirius Satellite Radio, it would be a tragic mistake if XM Satellite Radio does not utilize this time to cultivate the environment now to prepare for what it seems to be a major showdown between radio programs on the different satellite providers. There is no other program like this on either commercial or satellite radio at the moment, so now is the time to get the push out to get subscribers.

1. Stern already made his announcement.. As it stands today, Stern hits SIRI in 2006. This gives XM over a year to build O&A and bring in other radio talent... True XM fashion though is to wait until the last possible second and then blow it....They really need to ditch the premium IMHO. That is the first victory for Stern and SIRI...

2. The weekends we get a replay of all the shows from the previous week and on 150 at 6am or 7am is a Worst of boradcast...

Yeah I understand they play the previous week, I was hoping to find out what days show they play at what hours during the weekend. Example: Saturday 10 am to 2pm is tuesdays show ETC..
