dude, likeness rights and stuff for publishing it would bankrupt cornjob, especially with hoo hoo bitching. an online toon is the only way he can do this.
plus, the BBBBoys can comment on the new episodes every time they come available. this should be bi-weekly or monthly.
do these take long to do/scan/post? or do you do it on the comp with the good ol electronic pen.

Will Cringe Force have it's B-team members, like the JLA and Avengers do?the B team candidates-
Martini Steve and his shaker of pain
Sexbagel (super powers yet to be determined)
Ben and his Hurricane Hair
Master Po - powers need no embellishment
Frenchy and his assault baguette
Retarded Laverne and Shirley - Medusa-like powers. Anyone within earshot is bored into submission.
Keith The Cop - Everquest powers not unlike Anthony, but they only work on young boys.
Tippy Tom - two words - GOLDEN BUNS
Club Soda Kenny - is known for trouncing his victims to a disco soundtrack and skipping off in to the sunset.
Stephen Lynch - The most elusive hero. He has yet to demonstrate the full power of his guitar.
Stalker Patty as the Oracle
Tenbatsuzen
11-27-2004, 01:51 PM
Actually, I thought Ben's powers would be persuasion-type abilities, considering how well connected he is in the city.
Stalker Patti would have chocolate bon-bon bombs.
Martini Steve and the Shaker of Pain - BRILLIANT!
My only nitpick with the comic is that in "real life", Jimmy Norton goes silent when the boys bash Stern.
Scott Ferrall has to be the insane Rorshach-like vigilante character.

For what it's worth - if anyone suggests something, then sees something different in the comic - please don't assume it's a dis or I think your not funny or something (or that I didn't read it) - I'm just generally ahead of what you see, so most of the time - something is 'done' before any suggestion is made.

Of course Ant can morph into other people...why didn't I think of that? Though I think Mike Tyson would have been a better choice...lol It takes one....
I've been thinking about the "B" team, and I can't wait to see what they do with Bagel.
Steve has the hulk rage, fire powers and perfect diction
There is hurricane Ben with his Herky Jerky gravy leg.
But what is Bagel going to do? Peroxide their hair? Smother them in locks and cream cheese?
Oh, the anticipation.

FlightRisk
12-14-2004, 11:23 AM
Don't fret... as I understand it, Opie and Anthony just don't like homos or their silly drawrings.
They really should mention this. I haven't really been paying any attention to the Photoshop forum because there's just too much there. As Joey said, no offense to Cage but he puts so much stuff up being unemployed and all I found it impossible to see anybody else's work. I would have never found these comics if it hadn't been mentioned on the General Discussion.

I have to confess, I'm pretty fond of this page.. it has everything -
ACTION! SUSPENSE! ROMANCE :icon_eek: !
Thanks again for all the new viewers and thanks for your efforts - one thing, though - we don't think it's cool to bring up Cage in reference to this - he does awesome work, and it's totally different - apples and oranges - and he was at it for a really long time before we started this - if anything, he kind of invented this Renaissance in fan 'artwork' - to some extent, everyone is jumping on his bandwagon...
Anyway - thats that - enjoy! :action-sm

If he's anything like his "superhero" on his show, he'll use the power of flatulence to either stink the boys into submission, or to rocket around on a putrid jet of noxious gases.
I would like to see a possible cameo from either the FCC, Michael Powell, or George Bush in the upcoming issues. Might make me giggle a little.

I had to redesign the entire top floor of Martini Steve's Place in OW because of the great artwork you both are producing. Images had to be removed from lower floors in order to produce enough memory space to place your images in the proper locations.
I also created a walkway in which visitors would have to travel in order to see your comix in the proper sequence. The opening sign, (which is FlightRisk's sigpic) can be clicked on and it will open up your main Cringeforce website in the OW browser area, so visitors can see the images in detail if they want to.
I've decided to leave plenty of open walls for future artist tid bits you guys will come up with.
I know you have trouble getting there with your MAC, Cornjob, so I created an animated (gif) file, so you can get some idea of the present layout...

here's an interesting question to ponder:
when norton went back into time to stop helen/hoo-hoo, do you think to "1976-jimmy" he was actually "jimmy robinson"?... kinda makes you think...

"Lil Jimmy Norton" (1976) could not possibly understand meeting an analog of himself from the future. Hence the imaginary friend explanation.
"Jim Norton" (2004) assumed the poorly conceived identity of "Jimmy Robinson" to fool his younger self. (what came first, the chicken or the egg?)
Now, the 37 year old (man\boy) was naturally disgusted with his younger self for not having more potential and sucking dick.... Hence the reason they "both" hated Lil Jimmmy Norton. (Time Travel is a dangerous game guys.)
Hoo Hoo... Everyone knows he's become an old woman... When he arrived in 1976, he assumed the not so clever name of "Helen" (Stern) to avoid questions about his gender.
In a desperate effort to destory O&A before they became a success, "Helen" was forced to target Jim Norton becasue she only knew O&A by a nick name (Opie) and a first name (Anthony).
And the secret war raged.

Wow, I love how the continuity between the comic and real life can flow so well.

I just read the whole thing. Excellent work, guys. Not sure why this couldn't be published. The characters are clearly cariacatures of real people, and clearly not meant to portray real life events. Mad magazine has done this type of thing for decades. Of course, an audience roughly the size of a college radio station probably wouldn't be a big enough base, but I'm just sayin' there's no legal reason it couldn't be published. That's all...

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but are there any plans in the works for any future issues? There are a whole bunch of topics that could be in each issue. Cornjob and Flightrisk do a great job!

do you guys do these in Illustrator or something, or do you actually do it by hand and scan them? (Or somewhere in between, hand drawn and computer colored maybe?) Depending on the software you have you might be able to make it a little easier on yourselves....
I've thought about trying to do this kind of stuff in the past (not O&A related, just for my own amusement) and was jut wondering what technique you used)

Hey Razor - sorry for taking so long to respond.
First FlightRisk and I write it (nothing worse than starting and 'making it up as you go along' - never works).
Then do thumbnails of the pages.
I draw them on 1 ply bristol in pencil.
FlightRisk inks them using Micron markers
I then scan them in and color them with Photoshop CS (on mac)
Letter using fonts from blambot.com, add speech bubbles - (pros do this with Illustrator, but I'm not good enough with it, so I use Photoshop - fonts look better in a vector based program).
Flatten - shrink, and post.
I'd say 6 or 8 hours work per page. Sometimes 10.
I don't think many people do this kind of art in Illustrator - I guess you could if you had a pen, but I'd think it'd still be easier to just draw then scan.

would love to see your takes on Steve (have him control fire and driving his hovering "hybrid") and Ben (he could be called "The Hurricaniac" who herks and jerks his body so fast that it causes massive gusts of wind and rides a giant hog), and maybe a full-scale battle between the Pests and the Zombies like something out of Braveheart.
