Oh God, I am going to hell... I was listening to the virgin Mary song today on my way into work... I was laughing so hard, nearly ran off the road..... Worst part of the day is tonight I have to teach CCD... to all the little kids.... :icon_roll
I am going to drive very carefully on the way home from work tonight....

They did something to that song. They either edited it or recorded it out of phase again. The original version has Kenny singing along, and all of the parts about sucking dick are overshadowed by Kenny's muffled voice, so you can't tell exactly what's being sung. You can hear what I mean at the very end of the 30-second clip here:

Tyson...You are on to something! I have the sOUTH pARK cHRISTMAS cd and the song sounds nothing like O&A's version they played. It was like hearing the song for the first time!
Were Trey and Matt too much of a collective pussy to release the song as we just heard it?
I was like..."The Virgin Mary did WHAT?"

That is too funny. I know I heard that version somewhere but I forget. It's definitely not the one on the Southpark Christmas CD that I've ever seen.

The only bummer about the South Park Chirstmas CD is that the Jesu/Santa Vegas lounge duet isn't included. When Santa sings "Rio" by Duran Duran, I lose it every time. I think that might not be on the CD because the CD came first and that song may have been done for the episode after the CD's release, though (that's based on something Matt and Trey said about the episode being made because the CD was pretty much ignored when it came out).

Matt and Trey explained that they couldn't get the Santa and Jesus song onto the CD because they couldn't get it cleared or something. I have the season 3 DVDs and when the commentary about the Mr. Hanky Chirstmas Classics comes up, thats what they said.

being a long time fan of "Mr Hanky's Christmas Classics" myself, I was surpirsed to hear the "uncut" solo Mr. Hanky version of TMOCSE today.
Did some research and found it here at a south park fan site, listed under "rarities"

I was disappointed that they didn't use the original Cartman singing O' Holy Night when, on the episode he gets shocked every time he forgets or screws up the words. Much funnier than the one on the CD.

that was never in any episode. It was an extra version. The original that was in the episode is of him in Israel singing the song.

Was it on a DVD or something. I'm pretty sure I have seen video of this.

maybe there is a video floating out there on the internet but it was never in any episode or on the episode DVDs. There are other video clips that Matt and Trey made that weren't on episodes like when Cartman is telling Trey's sick joke. It's called Aristocrats. I don't get the joke though.

You can suck all the dick you want and still be a virgin, Mary.
I couldn't stand the fact that the words are completely inaudible. I was very pleased to hear the song as it should have been recorded. Although I understand the reason for giving Kenny a song so filthy you can't understand the words.

I haven't tried it yet..but on the South Park Christmas CD, what would happen if you played The Most Offensive Song with the stereo potted all the way to one side...would Kenny be muted and you would just hear Mr. Hanky's words?

I thought it kinda sucked. Here's why...
Take Brother Joe's song, Oh Mein Fuhrer. Unbelievably offensive, probably even more so than this South Park Virgin Mary song. But it was funny as hell too. The polka background was funny, the German accent was funny, the rymes (sp?) were funny, etc...it was offensive for the purposes of being funny. This Virgin Mary song, I think, just wasnt funny...not because it was offensive, but because it was offensive and nothing else. Just offensive for the sake of being offensive, and there's no humor in that.
I even found the voice incredibly annoying.
Thats what I think.
Sorry.
