That was surprisingly when of the best spots in today's show in my opinion. Like Opie said, that sort of thing will never get old where you take something legitimate and turn it into a dick joke. Anywho, I went looking around for a free program that talks what you type, and I came across this demo (http://www.naturalvoices.att.com/demos/) that AT&T makes. You simply slect the language, and either a guy's or girl's voice (unfortunately niether sound too similar to Stephen Hawkings' wheelchair contraption) and then just type in whatever you want it to say and click the 'Go' button. A Windows Media Player file will open and it will play whatever you have typed in. Enjoy :action-sm
Oh, and if anyone finds one that is more robot sounding please let me know where.

If any one has a registered version of "Fruity Loops" v 3.5 and up, it has a speech generator with multiple options, i.e. male, female, robitic, singing, octaves etc.

Mac's have that built in. Look under Speakable Items.
I can highlight the text in anything and have it read in many different voices, I like the Swedish voice best of all.
I have an ancient Mac that is around 15 years old that will even do it.

This voice dealy is cool too and it even creates a hyper link, so you can email your friends or IM them, and when they click on the link, it'll tell them to "FUCK OFF" or whatever other funny text you type in. The link only lasts five minutes though.

There was a program with "Real" in the title, though I cannot remember if it was related to the Real Empire of players.....
A shame I took it off the machine......fuck I wish I could remember the name.

If you get the free web browser FireFox, you can add free features to it. That robot reader is one of them. It is a really really awesome browser, btw. www.mozilla.com

what's the program called that i can download from mozilla.org's updatesite You don't need anything. Just go there, find something you want and click on install. If nothing happens when you click on install, look for the status bar at the top to allow the site to bypass security.

Here are the firefox extensions: https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox
Unfortunatly it looks like it was taken down. I wonder why. It was called FoxyVoice. You can highlight text on a webpage and make it read the text.
Actually, I found it. It just hasn't been certified for the newest version of firefox. But it should work:

If anyone here has a Mac, you can have it speak all of your alerts. There are about 20 different voices in the current version of OSX (10.3.7). You can type in anything and have it speak to you.
